I downloaded a fresh copy of HB and I am trying to run from my win 8 laptop but it wont open completly and so it's not generating a log to upload. I have taken screen shots and I am including it on the upload. Any advice on files I may need to download as when I do driver searches it shows my system to be up to date. Any help is appreciated as I travel a lot and I wanted to be able to use this while I am away from the home pc.

Tony there is no log file being created. I am including a screen shot of the full file through paint as it wont let me attach word doc. Please let me know what other information I can provide as I cant attach file when there is no Log file created. no log file.webp

remove:

- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
- microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

restart your pc,
download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip
run them as administrator.
after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
restart

I did as you asked and removed the - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
- microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable and restarted but when I went to open the Buddy wizard I encountered another error: error on running visual c.webp
Tony I really appreciate the help. Not sure what is causing these issues.

I had Avast enabled but I thought to try and disable and run and it would not proceed. Same error.

dont use the launcher.

wow needs to be running in 32bit mode.
to do this watch this video. it covers every possible way to get wow to start in 32 bit mode.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St0xz-gf0zg

after wow is started in 32bit mode, get fully logged in and in game, then start honorbuddy by right clicking "honorbuddy.exe" and clicking "Run as Administrator"

if you still have issues then look for a log file if you DID NOT use the launcher and run Honorbuddy.exe there should be one created.
if you would, please post a full log as an attachment so we can see whats going on.
