would be nice to hear some more details, but i doubt we'll get them. 30 days a pretty random number, why not 20 or 40?

as far as i understood this was not a routine update of warden offsets but some sort of a major change to the entire program.

Can devs confirm they checked that they havent added any wow-related offset scanning? sounds obvious but it's nice to have it in writing
 
I'll carry on. Not long till WoD and I've only spent £8.99 on the account in total, so if I get banned I'll wait till WoD and redo, won't miss anything anyway.

I've spent £135 but made that back the first week from them!, 5 lvl 90 accounts :)
 
I bought some cheap battlechests, gonna keep them up running :)
 
Ill keep on going, its just 6 battlechest so really not alot I can lose.
 
Probably will continue, I bot about 5hrs a week (cant farm with the German version anyways) with tyrael for raiding on my main because I’m too stupid and lazy to play raids myself - hopefully I’m safe never heard of somebody who was banned because of tyrael

Nice :) I wish I had made multiple, made 2 battlechest accounts and bought 2 month gametime with the gold n they got banned :D Wish I'd made more n took it steady, could've had some extra cash laying around.
 
interesting thing is though, if warden was changed to say detect injection codes, we will be pretty screwed. i remember a boot that actually took over your mouse, lazybot or something like that. harder than hell to configure, and sucks 99% of the time. its the equivalent of a 2 year old at the controls. but honestly, im going to keep botting. mostly just for combat, but still. if i was going to get banned, i would have a while ago. my first name and last name are my HB username as well as the name on my account FFS >_>
 
I will give it some time. If Hawker says 30 days, then it's 30 days. I don't want to risk losing my Main account.
 
It may be that the infrastructure of Warden has changed (which would explain the size of the change and the amount of time the devs need to verify it), this does not necessarily mean that the new infrastructure poses any risk at this moment in time, but if there are new detection routines they could be activated at a later date.
 
believe i will be giving pvp a break untill we no for sure, i only use the combat routines for lfr anyways, otherwise i cant heal worth a damm on my shammy
 
I think I still will use tyrael cause I am to lazy to press 100.000 times a button in a raid :D
If it happens that I get banned, then so be it. I will quit with WoW. The only thing thats keeping me in WoW is the fact that I still have access to it :P
Maybe a ban is actually exactly what I need to move on to other games or maybe to a more useful hobby :D:D
 
yeah 8 years on the game I need that cold smack in the face to stop playing wow... bring it on.

No way Blizzard gonna ban in a week, even if they detect HB right now. A wave could come 2 months later I suppose...

I find it "funny" how the maintenance has been extended till 5pm pst. There must be a lot of changes going on...
 
I'm thinking about it. Raid is in a few hours. I'm LOLing at everyone who thinks that using Tyrael is safer than using grindbot/etc. An update to warden that could possibly detect HB would make ANY botbase just as dangerous. It's not like they're going "We'll scan for questbuddy, but leave people who use Tyrael alone."

However, I think the possibility of a ban removal is more likely with Tyrael, turned into a final warning 72 hour. So I'll probably go with it. It seems like 30 days means they need people to be botting so they can see if there are any banwaves, I guess I'll volunteer as a tribute.
