wonder where it came from? Doesn't sound like anything blizzard would be doing... does it?
 
Blizzard would not be doing that. Thats malware/adware...bossland said hidden tactics LIKE malware...not that it installed malware onto your pcs....as in ram scraping for any remnants of HB code, process scanning, etc etc. Malware does this to STEAL your data...blizzard may do this to see whose running what third party programs. Fact is, unless you can make honorbuddy encrypt itself on every run so that warden or another module scanning it can't read that info easily, or proactive defenses against such scanning (like sandboxing warden, or elevating process priveleges to root with no read/write access upon detection of a memscan), there will always be a way to see what's going on, just a game of cat and mouse where bosslandgmbh has to stay 3 steps ahead in order to beat blizzard.

To answer the question, if glider, pirox, and hb banwave didn't kill my main ill always keep botting, and that main remains active to this very day. No one has got honorbuddys functionality, so its no question that ill be back.

It will always be back they are making money from it. But the risk % has increased a shitton if Bossland has no clue how it got detected, If I was selling a product I would want to push it out even if I had no clue how blizzard detected it one thing, im making money! Always a risk in botting but now the risk is higher then what it was before. As people have stated blizzard could of taken every single user who had used HB but then bossland would know that they can read HB fully. I will let the test monkeys use HB before me and see what happens :)
 
now because of that malware thats why i had like 10 15 fps drops sometimes with questbotting that could be the reason aswel:) in some area it lagged verry mutch while questbotting
 
ive been gone for a bit, but if the announcement about the blizz malware is still the current theory set forth by staff then,

1--firewall isnt going to stop the blizz malware. youve already given your firewall the command to let anything blizz related through.
2--antivirus probably isnt going to stop it because your antivirus works by comparing against a master list of known issues set by your antivirus company.
3--malwarebytes which is probably the most well known works by targeting known malware. there has to be enough reports on the malware for the company to figure out how to remove it. again, it works against a master list.


what staff has mentioned is it may be a piece of software that works like malware. malware generally isnt harmful, its just annoying. like browser hacks. the last statement i read claimed staff hasnt figured out how the event happened exactly but suggest a malware like program.

1-you allowed blizz to piggyback the software through your firewall permissions.
2-it activated at a preset time
3-it only collected data causing no damage, probably in its own mem space.
3-it waited patiently until blizz servers called for the data.

so, how do you fight that...

If they really useds some part of WoW as a malware, they SAW honorbuddy running, no matter what you were doing with it.. so raidbot, grindbot, questing, whatever you use, you got banned...

This cannot be more true. I ran so may different services and bots. ( Powerleveling, Gold, Garrison, Arena Rating, Honor gearing, ETC. ) and dispite the vast difference in them. They all got the exact same ban. ( Mind you some of these accounts were only botted on for less then a week to my knowledge since they were customers accounts. ) I had accounts running 24/7 farming dungeons since January with the same ban as an account that the only thing I used was Tuan + Enyo.

Why not, my main will be banned for another 5 months, nothing to lose ^^
 
Is it possible that they perma bann the frozen accounts, if I start botting with a new account?
 
Never again on my main account, i botted 2 weeks before this mass ban and didnt get banned so i'm taking this as a sign :P

If they've no clue whats caused it, then it doesnt give me much hope in it not happening again.
 
Unlike others so called quitters that I've seen on day zero, I actually did manage to quit the game at very same day. I lost two 2005 accounts that had some interesting stuff inside, but that's not the point I'm trying to make, even in the way it was 6 month ban not deletion, at this point it doesn't even matter now, not coming back to game mainly because I would feel violated paying to blizzard even a single cent (insert your currency here). So why I am here?! Maybe because I used of usual daily drama and some interesting people this community has, including haters and snitches.

nah, you pay for a new game and your old account got punished for bottin, it wont get punished for something another account did.
 
Mmmm there is no way in hell i am gonna quit botting a game that have 10 and more years.I have way more fun trying to make my own profiles , trying other people's ones than really playing the game itself and stacking gold to buy game time keep doing that over and over . Honestly HB gave me motivation to keep playing WOW, blizzard dont realize that at this point lots of people play just cause of CR, farming and Questing Profiles not the opposite .
If they decide to make it impossible to bot than i ll just quit playing it ;)
 
well they closed one of my accounts that i hadn't used in years. after my main got banned i resub'd it. then i get a email saying it's been closed due to gold selling. i was online when it happened. i got dc'd and the received the email. i was leveling a new toon. i haven't even botted on that account ever and they say i was selling gold which is someting i have never done. ive always just botted to bot. i enjoy it. plus i dont have the time to devote to the game like i once did and because i devoted alot of time to the game in the past i dont want to quit lol. ive opened 2 appeals both have been closed/answered and still banned. i opened a 3rd and they said they would escalate it and the final decision would be made.
 
Wont bot on main no mor. Cant affort new accounts like some here. Hb updated nothing but tripwire wich didnt go off at banwave so if u bot again its just handing over ur account and money to blizz.

Rip hb. Seems like u r defeated.
