Will we be able to make any decent money in WOD?

I'm kind of skeptical about botting in WOD.

Blizz comletely fucked professions. Now everything that is craftabe has a daily cooldown, you can't make 1000 flasks a day anymore.
Therefore there will be less demand for raw mats (herbs/ores).
You also can't fly in WOD, only ground mounts.

So, what do you guys think? What would be a good moneymaker in WOD?
 
It will be fine. Bot for personal gain. If the subs throw enough of a fit things will change.
 
Yea I have a similar opinion, Ekko. Botting won't be what it was, that's for sure. Don't know, guess we'll have to wait and see, but right now I doubt it's worth to bot on a grand scale anymore.
 
It will be great expansion for botting once again! Yea, mindless gatherbotting is no more, but who cares, when there are new possibilities for botting, and gaining easy stuff.

Everyone is free to found it on its own. If we all follow a few cookie-cutter ways, it will be trivial enough! Just use the imagination, and find better way for gold farming, good luck!
 
In reality it should be better if ir smart. Less ability to make goods = less on market + demand has not changed = higher prices
 
I'm in agreement with Reviir on this one. Although there will be less on the market, prices will adjust to keep the money coming in. Because people will be making less items, the prices will sky rocket. There was a blue post just yesterday that gold will be a very important commodity in WoD, more so than any other expansion to date.

I simply hope there will be some very good profiles for garrisons quickly. A lot of farming will be done from within your garrison buildings, and the quicker that process can be automated for botters, the quicker we can get back into the gold making scene.

I posted about garrisons to brodie and even offered to buy him a beta key.
His reponse was that no botting is needed for garrisons.
Community devs dont get wod beta.
He doesn't seem to care anyhow.
 
And that kind of scares me...

Anything that take time can be automated. If I have to log in, go to 6 different building, pick herbs, mine nodes, skin mobs, harvest crops, etc., I'd like that to be automated. Even if it's all in 1 small, convenient area.

The fact that a developer like Brodie would say that it doesn't need to be automated makes me wonder if they understand the process at all.

I bet the first devs to get a garrison farming profile into the buddy store will be making A LOT of money.
 
My take on the garrisons is tjere really isnt harvesting......well tillers farm style anyway.

You build up the buildings to your liking and you get daily generated mats. That you kinda withdrawl as needed. Garrisen level dictates how many days worth of mats can be stored.

I could be totally wrong though.
 
well at least GB2 will be dead for a while, that thing is a ban machine.

as for gold I can tell you the herbs and ores are REALLY freaking rare. it's like back in hellfire peninsula. on top of that you are running around on a ground mount aggroing mobs and getting ganked on pvp servers.

as for botting garrisons im not sure. it's a quality of life thing to automate it but it still takes a human to get a garrison properly set up with the right followers and at level 3. it's a ton of work. once you do that the actual missions and busywork are annoying but are a very limited time sink - there is only so much you can do on a garrison per 24 hours, it's not like you can set a bot to do garrison work for 12 hours straight and get a ton of gold.
 
What do you figure will be good professions for WOD?
 
I plan on selling GDKP runs.

I honestly don't foresee how Gathering can be a viable source of Gold this expansion.

I mean, with Gathering on WoD, holistically, Blizzard have made some smart moves; empowering more players than ever to self serve rather than rely on suppliers, giving players access to more professions.

Whatever the outcome, Honorbuddy will still be the best bot and I'm sure will be able to automate Garrisons and everything else.

I think something along the lines of having a few accounts, with 10 charachers each, leeching mats/items from Garrisons.

This could be viable.
