Aiming for 6+ Bots. If this is not do-able what should be upgraded? Thank you fellow demon buddies!

/e: this will run me $375 which I think is relatively good, all feedback is appreciated!

8GB of ram could be a bit to less. Get 16Gb.
I'm not sure if the Radeon can support 6 clients. I guess it can handle those, but not sure.
If you have some money left, get a Samsung 830 128GB SSD, it's worth the money.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yeah I was thinking the same for the ram.
I've never been a fan of ATI and prefer nVidia anyway so any recommendations on a good GeForce card?
I'll check out the SSD, thanks :)

I do agree its fairly well priced, i would assume it could run 6 bots IF you go for 16gb. 8gb would problaly hardly allow 5.

Keep in mind, Diablo low settings + DB takes about 1,5gb (*6 = 9gb), add some windows usage to that and you are easily on 10gb+ usage for 6 bots.
It'll problaly raise your price to $450 but i'm afraid you are going to need it.

I am running 5 in a unclocked I5 2500k with 16 gigs of ram. 8 gigs was not enough

I'm runnig 6 on an unclocked i7 870 and have about 40% load. CPU is not that important if you just want to run 6 clients.
You can stay on AMD, they make good GPU's but worse CPU (in comparison with intel). But if you just want to bot with this PC you can stay with AMD.

An example for a solid GPU would be AMD Radeon HD 7850. You wont have any GPU related problems with this.

If you are going to virtualize (vmware) cpu is really important for 5-6 bots, keep that in mind.

Didn't know he wants to use vmware for the bots. It doesnt make sense anyway but thats a different topic ;D

is it multi-gpu or single?

I got dual hd 6950 and i have been getting tons of BSOD... :( i hate this card.. tried CCC 12.1 to 12.8 drivers but no luck...

my dual amd hd 6870 with 12.8 does the job... and very stable

@op sorry i did not mean to jack you thread...

Users thank you for all the feedback definitely driving me to the correct direction :)

I can see how the math clearly shows 8 gb is not enough so I will definitely go for the 16. $450 to run 6 bots is a win win for me.

Also I did not mention this, but I will not be using VMWARE, I plan on just running it on 1 window.

The video card is a fail. With 512MB of vram, you'll have artifacts at 3-4 bots much less 6, screens closing, fps drops, unstable environments, etc.

Just get a 3570k, z77 mobo, 16gb ram, GTX560 ti 2gb. Good to go.

Plus cdkeys plus db sessions

Game is dead, dont waste the money

Glad we could help, good luck to your expansion in bots!

Stefan it makes sense when u want to use VP-NS for each bot (as antiban measure..)

ditto what others have said.
I had to upgrade to 16GB from 8GB to run 5 bots. Have enough memory left to run another one (im using vmware).

You do realize BUYING new computer stuff is not a waste of money?

All you twats trying to talk people out of botting should leave the forums since you just clutter it up with junk and make trolls like me want to respond to your stupid posts.

I agree that buying new computer stuff is not a waste of money. However, you cannot argue that botting isn't what it was and if this is only for botting(not a personal upgrade), he may not ever recover the cost.

I just spent $700 on a new botting rig--dont know if I will recover the cost or not. It's nearly the same as my personal desktop, so it IS a waste of money for me if I get banned before covering it. At the same time, I am upgrading 2 other desktops in the home. I only have use for 3, but I will have a 4th wasting space when I get banned and quit. I'm hoping that doesn't happen, but this is a hobby for me and not income. I make plenty of money and dont really care if I lose $500-1000 doing something I enjoy. I lose a lot more than that at the casino.

OP: One thing to keep in mind is the version of windows you are running on, as Windows Home Basic I believe only allows use of up to 8 gigs of ram. You may have to get home premium or ( if you think upgrading in the future is a possibility, Home Professional)
