will this rig can do 10 vm''s , need some opinions

hi there guys i wana try to invest in this rig and need some opinions , will i can roll 10vm's /poe/eb with any problem with this ?



Intel Skylake, Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz
HyperX Fury Black 32GB DDR4 2133MHz CL14 Quad Channel
GIGABYTE GA-Z170X
Corsair RM Series RM650
NZXT Source 340 Black ( this is optional of course)
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SATA-III 2.5 inch

right now my rig can hold up 6 vm's
i5 2500k
Corsair Vengeance Red 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 Dual Channel x2
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SATA-III 2.5 inch
msi 780 gaming oc

at my current rig i gess the problem is the cpu .

any sugestion will be much apreciated

On your current rig are you able to run 6 vm's meaning 6 poe/eb's also? 0.0 I've got a better cpu, more ram, same ssd, and a better gpu; but have only been able to do 2 vm's and when I run poe AND eb it gets funky...

yes i run 6 vm's /poe/eb on my curent pc , of course my cpu is at 100% load all time :P and i use the pc for media/fb and other stuff to
 
I would say 8-12
On my current pc not OC i7 4770k 3.5GHz
each VM use 5-15% cpu

I currently tested 8VM which is 90-100% cpu usage so i might be able push it to 10 VM but with constant 100%.
I don't think higher frequency can give you more than that but i can be wrong :cool:

the price range for i7 4770k is the same as i7 6700K so i pref the 6700k becose is a now cpu
with 8vm's setup , the vm's are laggy or somting like that , btw you use 1cpu -1core ?

yes 1 cpu 1core 2gb ram each
i don't have any issues with vm
it isn't super stable but playable and bots don't die because of that

how do you run so many with an i5-2500k? I have a i7 4770k running 4 vms and loads around 80-90%.
Is it because of the OS that I'm using?
 
Dont want to create my own thread so I will ask my question here. I am thinking of reviving a computer, how many VM´s with poe/EB could you achieve with the following processor:Intel Core i5 4460 3,2GHz? All other hardware should be fine (24mb ram etc).

I have the same CPU as you, I can easily get up and run 5 VMs without any problem. On the 6 VM the load will be 100% on CPU.
Besides the CPU, I have 24GB RAM, 120GB SSD and a GTX 750Ti.

I recommend to change the stock cooler.
 
What version of wm you are using? I will be very greatfull for that info.
 
Just asking becouse someone on the forum told that VM 7.1.2 is somehow better then the other ones. But thank you for reply.

i use v12 and is working good , the v7 i tested and in my case i got the fliker screen , duno wat can i say about that
