Does running multiple clients from a solid state drive help conserve CPU usage rather than running them from a regular hard drive?

right i'm sure it can't hurt but is it significant enough to justify the purchase?

Maybe a small % but the load time savings is more than enough to justify the purchase.

If you have extra money, buy it, but not for saving CPU usage.
If you are having problems with CPU I suggest you spend the SSD money on a new CPU.

what it really will affect is the transfer rate between the CPU and the HDD

do a diskmark bench it will show you how fast your HDD is communicating with your computer,
make sure you take note for a)the medium its being transferred by, aka sata, ide, yatta

look at the max speed for your transfer type and then add in what your score is.

if you want that to be higher, go ahead, otherwise, kinda pointless

does a bear shit in the woods?

not all bears live in the woods, you think they take bears out to the forest from the zoo to shit?

depending on how slow his communication with the rest of the computer is, it may be actually almost non-existant the performance benefit.
with a high end machine, your not going to notice a "huge" improvement compared to say someone with a 5200 40GB IDE drive

dont get realtime CPU usage confused with overall Computer performance
