i currently have MSI Z170A GAMING M7, Socket-1151 and my cpu is Intel Core i5 6400 (skylake).

i also have 16gb of ram. im struggling to run 5 sessions at the same time and would like to ask for advice to wich cpu that will work nicely with my motherboard and able to run 15 sessions at the same time for as cheap as possible. i also got Corsair H100i Hydro Series CPU Cooler.

sorry if this is common question.. thanks for all help :)

i7 6700k here. Each WoW process eats about 3% of memory.

thats a bit strange that you can only run 5 clients what are your complete specs?

You are doing something wrong, that's an i7 2630qm laptop CPU which is weaker than i5 6400

firstly :) its a desktop pc and my budget is upto 200 euro max im afraid.. i took a screenshot where wow settings are lowe then low and where i set hb tick to 10 and still with only 2 sessions i feel they eat to much compared to other people around here but then again im runnin windows 10 and havent configed anything here since i dont know so might be somthing there tho.. anyway heres a screem with 2 sessions. cpu check — Postimage.org

it normally stays between 31% to 50% jumps on 2 sessions.. (CPU wise)

thanks for all feedback! :)

You should have little trouble with a 6400k. The only difference between the 6600k and 6700k is 4 threads, which for gaming really doesn't do a whole lot. And as far as even bumping to the 7600 or 7700k, the benchmarks only show nominal improvements ( over a 6600/6700k ). I would focus on what you have and see how you could boost the performance.

Post your full specs including RAM speed and graphics card.

for low budget i can suggest the amd fx-8350 you can run up to 10 instances with it and 16 gb of ram. anyway you would need a new mainboard for it.

7700k is just a 15-20% increase in cpu power over a 4790k btw.

btw guys i was wondering which harddrives u use ? Is it still a bad idea to bot with a SSD ? My harddrive got pretty slow and it runs at 100% alot whichs is really annoying

i dont care to stick with skylake aslong i got a gd cpu that can be used on my motherboard :) might consider 20 seesions at 1 time O.o

You already have the hardware: Amazon.com: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core Skylake Desktop Processor, Socket LGA 1151 [BX80662I76700K]: Computers & Accessories is your best option at pricepoint. It is also a bit faster than the 4790k. As eagles stated, it does not make much sense for you to completely switch platforms (mobo, ram, etc) when all you really need to do is upgrade the CPU.

Here is a comparison:

Intel Core i7 6700K vs 4790K

They are two totally different platforms. Devils Canyon is 1150, Skylake is 1151. I still think you may be ok with what you have. You are not trying to run 5 bots off of the on board graphics right?
