Why make professionbuddy so hard << Pleas read <<

Hey guys I just wanted to say why do we have to go through all these SVN crap just do download professionbuddy.

I just downloaded it a couple days ago and it messed up my computer so much and I had to system restore my computer back to factory settings.

Why can't you guys just make it so right when we download honorbuddy professionbuddy comes with it like it use to be.

Can someone just share there professionbuddy with me so I don't have to download all this crap thanks.
 
SVN is 100% WIN and it sucks to download .zips everytime a plugin/bot needs an update

It also sucks having to make a new zip, and then upload it, delete the old one, etc on the forums when all we devs have to do is hit commit, and then write a short post that we updated it and include a short changelist and we're done.
I personally have the SVN and the zip options for most of my stuff, but they are nowhere near as large and complex as Professionbuddy.

SVNs are the shit, but some users like the zips better.
It's just preference of the developer that matters here.

I feel you...well I used to. I hated SVN when I 1st started botting. Now I wish everyone used SVN. SVN Makes it so much easier to keep things organized & updated. It's just plain wonderful!

I highly suggest trying you figure out hoe to use SVN & go that route. You may come to find out that SVN is very useful.

Well can you teach me how to do it the correct way? The last time I did it messed up my google chrome and everything.
 
I've used SVN for getting compiles to private servers back in the day. Very, very useful to update quickly and frequestly. You can even schedule SVN to be updated automatically.

I use chrome also, just delete the old svn files & uninstall svn before starting anew. Make sure your SVN folders are not in the chrome download folder. Also ensure that you are downloading the version appropriate for your OS (32 or 64 bit).

You probably clicked the wrong link, the scv client shouldnt mess up your pc. there are some gay ads that say "download" that try to trick you into downloading something else that could definitly jack up your pc.
 
Tortoise can mess things upp some times, i had to do like you, but it worked great on the second try, i guess something went wrong during the installation off it.

As someone that used honorbuddy/professionbuddy about a year ago, got banned last year in a ban wave (old news), and is now coming back for some minor profession things.. I think I know what the problem the op is referring to. In the instructions to download TortoiseSVN there is a link, very handy to use, thank you. However, the asshats on that site have slipped in some stealth download/installs with tortoise svn. EVEN IF YOU SAY NO... do not install your shit, it does anyway. There is a download manager (hijacker), webpage (homepage hijack), and 4 other installs from going through that link.

I know what I am talking about because I just finished scrubbing all the shit out of my system that the assholes at tortoise are installing with tortoiseSVN now from that link.

now... having said all that.. you can get tortoiseSVN from the sourceforge repository without all that hijacking scumware bullshit that they are attaching and installing from the FAQ page link.

I don't think the OP is lamenting about the SVN portion, (I know I love them and have used them on projects for years), what has happened is he got hijacked just like I did this afternoon. Again, even if you tell it NO, do not install your down loader and all that other stuff, it does anyway.

Just search for tortoiseSVN from sourceforge and follow the rest of the directions. Don't use that tortoiseSVN link in the FAQ unless you want about 8 programs installed.

on another note, thanks for professionbuddy.. it still works great, just like it used to. :)

SVN FTW, with EVERY plugin and every CC used it, makes my life so much easier to just right click and update a few folders and BAM READY TO ROCK!
