Why isnt not fighting mobs

I mainly use archaeology buddy and sometimes questing, well sometimes it will fight back mobs and sometimes I come back to the computer and there is a level 30 mob beating the shit out of me. Is there a setting I missed?

I think its only when a mob attacks me from behind the bot does not turn around to fight unless I turn manually then it will begin combat
