they do realize that every botter they kick to save their precious wow economy loses them $15 dollars from the real world economy? dont they? i mean seriously its a game, and you cant cheat past the $15 a month subscription so whats the point of *****ing down on botters? i just dont get how they think this will help wow on the whole?

Because it affects their legitimate subscribers.
Also, they can make more of a profit banning some people, knowing that they may get the cost of all expansions and another monthly sub as profit.

Maybe.

Blizzard only care about money and stopping others from profiting from their creations.

Ehh, aren't the "legitimate subscribers" the ones that buy gold for real life cash?

The "legitimate subscribers" are a bunch of retards. They cry for the bots to be banned, they get there wish and the bots get banned, then they cry because that mats at the AH are expensive, then they go to buy gold then they see the gold price has gone up and they bitch even more.

Retards.

Botters are the reason that a respectable amount of players keep playing the game.
The casual player that plays only few hours per week, will not waste time in farming to make gold.
They will go buy gold and do there LFR/arena/bgs or what ever.

If you can only play a few hours the last thing you want to is to get on your mount and go node farming.

And believe it or not the casuals are a lot more than the hardcore players.

In my opinion, blizzard is kinda okay with casual botters. we know this, for a fact coz we see other bots everyday and you still see them a week after.

but as long as it doesn't affect the game 'economy' and doesn't post 800 units of leathers in the market and deflating the value. It's just that it's human's weakness to be greedy by nature, and thus botting them inhuman and advantageous when you start playing 15 to 20 hours a day, coz normal people do sleep, and have other stuff to do in life. :) it becomes an uneven battlefield. :)

i dont sell mats on ah i only use the bots to get mats for my mains to use for different things like jc and alchemy. i use 90% of what i craft myself occasionally selling crafted items for gold for mounts ingame. i should be blizzs best friend.

They ban anyone really it doesn't matter how long you bot it just matters if you got caught or not.

Blizzard probably had a change in authority possibly the last few months maybe trying to up their sales becouse botters usually buy more games when they get banned this isn't very profitable but it could display a nice increase of sales which isn't bad.

Other then that only blizzard knows it could be a obvious thing like they really hate bots or something like that.

If this were still vanilla, then it Blizz would have an issue with botting. Right now though, WoW has gotten so massively huge that for a new player the game its simply overwhelming. Blizzard has nerfed everything to make the game more accessible for the casual gamer to get to end-game content (remember when you couldn't get a mount until lvl40?). For the new player, the biggest problem is that tackling end-game content still takes grinding hours and hours and hours of meh. Farming mats, leveling primary and secondary professions, grinding rep and gearing up. By the time anyone's done that, guess what? It's burn-out time. Players leave the game; many don't come back.

Botters serve a purpose, and Blizz knows it. By supplying cheap mats to the economy casual players can get to the end-game content quickly and without getting burned out with all the superfluous bullshit. Just in time for the next xpack!

As long as botters don't go overboard and stay under the radar Blizz turns a blind eye - especially to those with active subscriptions and who really play. The hardcore farmers on the Battle Chest accts who do it 18+ hours/day and just turnover mats for gold are the ones who wind up getting reported.

Way to generalize.

The vocal minority bitch on the forums (much like here) while those that understand/enjoy the game are off enjoying the game the way they choose to.

Let's be honest here. Botting is kinda destroying the game for legit players.

There's no way for a player to compete with a bot in the market and low market prices make the investment on farming kinda pointless (talking about casuals). Some of them turn to gold sellers others have to cope with dailies or attempt higher priced, expensive crafts.
So from a gamer's standpoint, that plays to enjoy and achieve stuff, bots actually destroy a part of the game, with bg bots being the most apparent of them all as they actually affect the actual fun part of the game for him.

Do I bot, yes; why? Cause I can't stand, game and time wise, farming for that little gold to make whatever needed for my chars. Is that game breaking for anyone around me, no, but still I am a cheater.
I still love the game but the bot is a way to keep the fun up without the boring down times.

Wow bans botters because they dont want any competition!!!!!
Blizzard has payed Al-Qaeda to disguise as chinesse gold sellers so they can make more profit from wow. Any other botter is bad for the gold selling mafia business

Great mentioning that now the nsa is gonna monitor this forum aswell if they weren't already.

ive said it before, and ill stand by it 'farming is for suckers' the legit player cannot compete with bots.

on the other side of the coin, cheap mats make for happy crafters. top guilds recognize the benefit to botting and most have a team of players to supply the guild with much needed mats.

bots have their place in this game. most hate the idea of botting, the ability to do something so tedious with no work at all, pisses people off. ive sold hundreds of stacks of fish, ore, herbs to top guilds with them knowing i botted them, and then see them screaming against bots in the bgs.

teaming up against the botting community is the glue that holds the casual gamers to the game. 'ughh my mats got undercut, must be a botter'

The only thing that would happen to the game is progression would slow down. People would still play the game.

I use to play pretty hardcore and thinking about botting on wow was always the last thought on my mind.. and I still had trouble getting enchants, farming this, and that. Then whenever life starts to pick up even more, its impossible to keep up with the hardcore players, and I'm assuming alot of hardcore players either 1. buy tons of gold or 2. Bot to the top.

I always thought some players where just amazing at the game and had plenty of time to put into it, the truth of it is now is that alot of them botted and I was the sucker.

because if they didn't no one would play the game, it would just be a buncha bots. How fun that would be for the few "real" people that wanted to play. TBH botting makes me sick, but at this point its a necessary evil. I totally sympathize with people who play by hand and achieve great things and then people like you or I click a button and it is done for us. If you cant understand that.. finish up school and return to read your thread in a few years.

exactly. Even if 1 million of us (the botters) (just a guess, probably much less) QQ to the high hell, the other 9 million (non botters) (another guess) hate it and it ruins the game and the economy for them. They don't have a fair chance in nearly anything. Who's side would you take? Regardless of genre or theme, any human being with a bit of decency and a little bit of common sense will always choose the side that is "right" or "legitimate" or "good" over the side that is "wrong" "bad" or "cheating" or were you just asking to seem na?ve for the sake of thread drama?

Seriously 9 million legits and 1million botters there are about 8.4m subs since few months ago and I bet even less now.
