Why is RAF gametime for WoW so much cheaper than normal pre-paid cards?

Also I cant remember exactly how long ago it was, maybe yr or 2 ago but there was a website buy.com? I think it was that had battlechest for $4, I guess if they stock piled 100s of cdkeys on sales like that. Also my 2cents from what ive heard directly from one of the big sellers on owned is they are selling the gold to chinese and also selling the accounts (quoted "chinese gold sellers go through 100s of accounts per day getting banned for trading/spamming advertising so they always need fresh accounts to use to sell gold" )

and if memory serves, even Bliz was selling the Battlechest for $5 at Christmas - sure there was a max per account... but multiply that by how many accounts the company has active???

And please explain to me how a Battlechest account plus a month of RAF only equals TWO months.. it would be three... You get one free month from the Battlechest, you are buying one and then getting one free... unless I've completely lost my skills at simple math, that equals THREE. Therefore my last calculations STILL STAND.

THe reason why they are not doing anything against it is, your "Friend" does all the illegal part and you have nothing to do with it.

Bought 12 months with RAF for annual pass. Couldn't signup to it (I already couldn't, only notice afterwards) and opened a ticked asking why I couldn't use the promotion. They removed all the gametime, and said there was a problem with the payment of the friends I refered... Kinda strange because I raf'ed the same friend on other 2 accounts and they are all ok. Basicly, if they investigate you they will just remove the RAF time, because they just assume it as you bought it...

The recruited gets 1 free from battlechest, and you pay for 1 month.
The recruiter gets 1 free month, as a reward for the recuited paying for their month.

The $4/$5 battlechest sales DO make a huge difference... and if it is possible that these people have massive stockpiles of those codes, then sure.... but even then, I don't see why goldsellers would buy accounts from RaF-Gametime-Sellers, instead of just RaF'ing themselves, considering half those accounts would never get to the second month of gametime anyway.

It's obviounsly done by stolen credit cards, they just buy cd-keys and gtcs with an account, then you refeer any account they have, they add the bought-with-stolen-credit-card key + bought-with-stolen-credit-card gtc and you get 1 mounth. (the accounts will be banned when payment reversal occour, but they'll never use the account, so why the fuck to care about it)

I somehow doubt this is done with pure stolen credit cards. The sheer volume of precious RAF time that's being sold is just too large...

There must be a profit to be made. A battlechest is 10? for normal consumers if you buy in China... that means if you're buying wholesale you get a better deal even. So they sell the gold we give them, and they sell the account to chinese farmers.

All in all it must be profitable even if only 1-2 ? per month.

If this was indeed all done with stolen credit cards I would not be playing on 6 accounts right now... my time would be long gone.

Additionally, if you buy this time with cash and not gold... there's no way you can be called out for it as this is how Blizzard designed it. You will never be banned or otherwise harmed... unless they got proof you spent gold on it of course.

It is 100 % stolen CC bro,,they have many list of the cvv seller , u can get like 10 freakin card number for only 1.2 - 2 bucks , not every number will succed but for each succed number they "buy" line tons of BC and GC (gamecode),,
if you guys diggin more,,these raf price is nothing,,some of asian farmer community even can get like 50 wow account for farm with unbelieviable price,,but they usualy kept the contact person / seller secretly for the bussines own good sorry about my english,,is not my main languange

They make a company and buy the battlechest CD keys in large bulks (They get a huge discount since it's a company + they buy in bulks). Then they can get it for a few dollars and can take gold as a payment. since they might resell the gold for around 1 dollar per K if not they have another gold selling company they are partners with and make them sell the gold instead.
