why everyone thinks barb, monk > rest?

i have 3 wizards with archon and 2 monks + 1barb
the wizards make about 30% more exp/gold/iph mainly cause the wizards just kill everything from the distance and the barbs and monks have to run to the mops and then back to the WPs
so why does everyone uses barbs or monks? am i doing something wrong with them? ^^
oh i am running mp0 with 100k dps+ each
 
the faster the bot can move, the faster it can farm. barbs and monks have more innate movement speed abilities and passives.
 
yea but still they have to run to the mob and back to the wp while the archon just kills everything in 0,5 - 2 sek and never has to leave the path

but well maybe I am just doing something wrong with my barb monks o0

you are not adding in the cost of gearing them up. barbs are one of the cheapest, which adds on to why people like them more. not to mention the fact that they do a lot better in higher mp, for those that like mp1-mp2 etc
 
I'm bordering 700gph on my monks. I've tried barbs and didn't get as high. I see no reason to try the other classes w/ the performance of these monks.

bot still needs to run to items and pick them up, barb is doing this very good specialy with sprint and combat looting enabled, i don't know how this works with archon though.
Maybe you could record a video of your Archon, i'd really like to see how it goes... I can then tell you if its faster or slower than 30m build barb...

I am probably gonna test Monk and probably Wiz for next ones...

what kinda build and how much for the gear?

You should make a guide for monks, this forum lacks of it :)
 
bah bot with the class you like or know best . everything is dependent on gear anyway
 
i eqip my wizards for 50 mil each ... they reach buffed 130k dps, 800AR, 3K armor and 24 pick up radius and run speed
barb also 130k dps buffed monks around 110k dps buffed both cost me ~45 mil
and there are not so many items i pick up only 62+, smaragt, rubin and legendary

well the point is my wizards are much better then the barbs and i do not know if i am just doing something wrong with my barb/monk ^^

acording to this video, you should get 200k dps buffed for 50mil

50m to get 130k on a wizard is quite low. for 30m i could get a 130k barb
 
I actually spent 15mil on my wiz(80k unbuff) and prolly 30~35 on my monk(110 unbuff). The wizard hit paragon 100 earlier than the monk and farmed more gold than him.
 
Once 1.0.7 goes live and things settle down maybe I'll make a post about monk botting. Unfortunately it's to my advantage to keep such things private and I hope you can understand.

care to elaborate? build, gear in every slot? a little guide would be nice

for 50mil i will build 150kdps unbuffed barb with skorn that will trash mp1 from plvl0.

ANy way, jsut for comparison, you can build 100kdps unbuffed barb with skorn for 20mil that will tear mp0 apart...
 
Whilst I love farming with my monk now (monk cannon build), I am currently leveling my witch doctor (zombie bears build), and I think it could outdo my monk in terms of farming. It has decent movement speed and attack speed, plus a massive pickup radius. Combine this with the army of summoned minions, I can't think why it should be able to smash out act 3 farming at high MP levels.

Only issue with WD is it has to stop in order to cast, a monk in 1.0.7 will just run through the whole map using tempest rush at 50% or more movement speed.

IF the bot is up to it, at the moment TR is pretty bad with DB :(
