Why bother? It's clear Blizzard has us detected.

Been an avid buddy user for years, but when they ban wave -every- one of us, you have to ask yourself what's really going on...

Not everyone...I wasn't banned. Until a week or two ago I had been doing 24/7 for like 5 months.

There is always small chance that you'll slip through and continue botting for another so many months, if that is the case, you've not been flagged and you're still good to go fourth. There is no real "outcome" or "profit" to be made, but I am sure we all have our reasons which we feel is worth the price of the game and the risk we take. I myself work hard, and enjoy knowing that I can come back to new loot without making the effort to play a highly random RNG game, and can attempt higher GRIFTS and new content in months to come.

they just dont bann all together - so they can sell more licences over time

Yep Blizz has made it clear they will continue banning as they have said in a blue post after the last ban wave. Their greed has clouded the way they should handle botters and thats to let them be as with the loot 2.0 system (which basically broke an integral part of the game which was trading) we can't really effect the economy of the game.

They will just flag botters during each season and ban them at the end so we can continue to buy more copies.

Could be they only ban season botters, i was playing non season character and botting a lot but stopped 10 days before the bans happened and didn't get banned. Might be luck or they just don't care what happens off season. I am starting my season 2 char now but will play trought the days when i can and bot only at night for like 8 or so hrs not more. I do enjoy playing the game still but no more then 2-3 hours a day.

It'd be nice if we got a statement from the officials here even saying they've fixed an issue with warden or whatever :/

That would be nice but I think we all can guess they have no idea what got the bot caught.
In which case, technically we are all caught(some core function of the bot like waypoints or pickup etc) and like someone said they wont ban all botters for licence purchasing sake.
Who gives a fuck if you get banned, we all know it can happen, nothing to lose or gain anymore, hardly worth developing the bot anymore.
Can you blame em?

Blizzard only banned losers, I used bot on 4 accounts for ~2 years and never got banned.

Using that logic you would have been perma-banned on any account you got ever ;)

My attitude is fuck it, I bot just because I want to, at some point I guess I'll get bored and give it all up

Botted for about 3-4 months and didn't get banned. Did a lot of 24/7 botting too. I stuck with exp profiles, key farms, you know the most boring shit. I stopped playing entirely about a month before this wave. I did not bot Season 1. In fact I didn't even create a Season 1 character because I had no interest in it. Not sure that helped or not.

Have been botting my mani acc for the last 9-10 months, most of the time est. 20hr a day. And still going strong. Recently added a second account just for the sake of it. Wont mind a ban at all, nothing to lose here.

I ran several accounts on the same IP almost all through season 1 (stopped right after the announcement that it would end in a month) and then I started them all again at the start of season 2 and I've never been banned.

I think they just grab the obvious botters, (people running 24/7, too many games per hour, etc.) the low-hanging fruit, in between season resets to try to clean up the leaderboards.

Edit: Forgot why I came here in the first place. What's with the tripwire? I don't see any actual ban reports from today.

The game actually sucks the wang and the Diablo III management and game directors couldn't tell their ass from their face. Loot 2.0 is a mega fail and the lack of trading has been detrimental to the game. It takes them months and months to fix issues whilst their ego's grow bigger And after all that they continue to ban botters even though they can't ruin the economy just so they can get more sales. The player base has been dwindling in a downwards spiral which is no surprise when you had arrogant dipshits like Jay Wilson and Josh Mosquera ruining the Diablo franchise.

GG fuck tards

I've been running DB for several years, 24/7 and I havent felt the hammer, yet ;P

Botted for like 4 months 24/7 in s1, been botting since day one of s2 also 24/7. This game is only fun when a bot is playing it, it lost all meaning without.

One must be very stupid to assume that get banned until the end of the season. Here is detected by software on the user's computer during the whole season and no substitution of IP, or use VPN or other methods do not help on this.
Properly noticed that here is marked throughout the season, and some players get banned before going next.
For economic reasons, Blizzard is not beneficial to ban all at once.
So for those who consider themselves the most intelligent and special - we can say definitely that you are banned next time. You left before the end of next season, but you marked.

It looks like we're all doomed right. No one can get away from ban, just like no one can escape death. When the time comes, it comes.
