Who's the holder of your farming accounts?

This is a question for those that bot with more than 1 account and specially for those that have many of them and sell gold.

I suppose that you don't use your own name (or at least not on all of your accounts), so you have two options: either you buy accounts and play there or create new accounts but with a fictional name (and address, as you need to also put that when upgrading your account from trial).

And, I imagine that each of your accounts has a different holder, so if one of them gets banned, it's less likely that the other one also gets banned.

Thanks in advance :)

Each of my accounts has a different name and adress.
But the adresses are all suited in towns next to or in the town I live in , so that the IP adress doesn't say near munich while the account holder is supposed to live 500km away :)

I have owned in excess of 40 WoW accounts over the years, almost all of them are for farming, I have 6 accounts that I have never botted on. Almost all of them have been in my name. There have been some with fake details, but for the most part I use my legit details. Regardless of getting 30+ farming/botting accounts banned, those that I have never botted on (with same name and credit card) have not been banned.

So I understand that you create accounts with false names and addresses, right? That was also my idea.

Don't you think is more secure to have a different holder for each account?

Why? I have 6 accounts that are 4 years old and have never been botted on - with exactly the same details and CC info as 30+ banned botting accounts. If Blizzard was going to ban my non-botted accounts they would have done so a long time ago.

I have no concerns over it at all. Infact, I've just started 6 more accounts (4 botting and 2 legit) and they are using the same details.

I used to use my friends details and he was prepared to submit ID scans for me but recently I have stuck with my real identity and have not received any ban on any account.

But do you use the same Battlenet for all of your accounts? I'm not sure whether it's possible to have more than 1 Battlenet account with the same name.

And, do they really ask you for scans to proof your identity (that's what I understand from what you have said, Synik)?

Maybe creating accounts with false names and addresses isn't such a good idea in that case, but I thought it was more secure so they wouldn't ban all accounts under the same name if one of them is banned.

I am botting on 3 acc, all in same battlenet acc.. I also have one banned acc on same battlenet. They only ban them they catch.. I bot on 3 laptops, so they have a different mac address

Use my own details. Once used fakes and it was annoying, had to photoshop a scan to get the account back after selling it over msn lol.

No real harm in using your own details tbh, just makes life harder for you.

So if they ban an account, don't they ban all your Battlenet WoW accounts? At least it seems more likely than if each account has a different holder.

I have many many battle net accounts, of cause, each has a different email address but they all have the same personal and payment details. I try to keep seperate botting and legit accounts on seperate battle net accounts, but I do have a few with banned and working legit accounts. They only ban the account you are botting - not the entire battle net account.

Ok, thanks. And do you have characters of different accounts in the same guild, transfer items/gold between them and use recruit a friend to level faster and get the free month or you think it's better to just have each of them as independent as possible?

It is not more secure. If your account(s) gets hacked the only way you can get it back is through sending in a photo of your passport, as you are creating more accounts with different names this will be impossible.

If you mean more secure where someone 'hacks' your account and therefore knows your name to get more of your accounts, this is not possible as they would have to hack into blizzard servers to get your account names. Also, if you got hacked then they would take all your accounts.

If you mean more safe if you get banned. Well GM's ban the account that is being botted on, they would not ban all accounts under that name. The only way you would get two accounts banned is if you are botting on the other one at the same time or if they are linked, i.e. if they are on the same battle net account or they have had loads of mail sending to each other, also if they are from the same IP address which is one of the main things.

I did have 3 accounts once..
2 main accouns that never have ben botted on
and 1 botted account..
All on the same ip and same name and CC info.. Every singel thing was the same.. EVEN ON SAME BNET ACCOUNT!

and only the botted account got banned..

They will only ban the account that is botted on

This is the confirmed truth.

Ok, so the idea would be to create them under my name but each of them on a different Battlenet account. I suppose it's also better not to use recruit a friend and share a guild. The only thing that is unavoidable is using the same IP...

Even after reading what have zavis and dottzor, I think it's better to have different Battlenet accounts, as there's no considerable advantage for sharing the same and there's some chance of getting all accounts banned for having all of them linked.

how do you log on more then one account at a time with 1 Bnet account?

Just opening one WoW for every session you want to log in. When you log in, it makes you choose what account you want to play at.

Have and have had a couple accounts. Always used my legit info. Never had any ''linking" problems. Have had multiple bans/suspensions for economy exploitation. Have called for 2 accounts with the same receptionist and had 1 overturned the other closed off a suspension. Don't think they really care that much or atleast their protocols don't allow them to look very deep. Occasional MAC change for me to appease paranoia but never had a ban as a result of another accounts actions. Had a couple "yes u did sell gold and we closed all accounts related" when in reality I was feeding gold/shit to sell to the banned account from multiple accounts virgin to account administrations poisinous touch. To each his own as always.
