The way I see it, Season 2 is almost out and while I botted, I did also play the game manually and occasionally leech off my bot, or bot my main account at the same time. Both got banned, However when I first started botting sarkoth with DB back in early gold/rmah days, i had some 15 bot accounts, 5 safe accounts. i got hit for 12 accounts on the first ever ban wave, and another 2 just now. I just purchased 2 more RoS keys and I intend on botting 1 account and playing 1 seasonal account again. Curious to what other people have in mind?

My situation is pretty plain, I have a lot of free time. And I am/can be a hardcore gamer. Just bought 2 new PC's literally finished building up not 3 days before the ban hit so I didn't even get to really test them. I figure I will play seasons 2 legit for a while, and when the coast looks clear I will start botting on the second account using a VPN like before. I recognize that D3 is a repetetive bs RNG factory and with no economy and no trading that botting is as good as it gets when you want the items but dont have the time I suppose. Even with the amount of time I can put into it 6-8+ hours a day, That is no where near the near 24/7 of botting action I had going and how long it took me to find certain items alone. Though with the recent 2.1.2 release items DID get more common.

There are plenty of games that gives you MUCH MUCH more then sitting 10/14 hours a day grinding for items you never get anyway:)
 
I already have new accounts for botting

cba to play, nothing out there I want to play, so just botting for the hell of it and will start working on combat routine etc... in the near future ( braken already got monk one sewn up)
 
I don't want Diabo 3 if I can't bot. The game is a wicked time consuming bitch. If I can't automate this game, the game is not work playing. The game is repetitive ad nasium and uninteresting.
 
See it from the bright side, they just had a ban wave, so for a while there won't be another 1 soon. So why not do season 2 anyway?
 
I had 2 of 4 accounts banned...thankfully not my main. I have already started two new accounts. I plan to bot for a while. I enjoy the game...but don't have the time needed to grind out anything worth while. The game is a huge time suck.
 
Just go ahead and bot, but bot wisely. Don't be stupid for botting 24/7. The db developers had warned you from time to time about this.

I plan on keep botting too, after the dust settles down a little bit.

I consider stupid to people who bot and don't do 24/7. You can see in the ban section how some (many) people that used the bot quite rarely , some a couple hours a day and many 4-6 hours a day were also banned.

The ones that weren't banned are most likely due to have been off whenever they swept the playerbase for bots, so very recent or extremely inactive ones (and lucky ones too).

But pretending to be holding the truth about 24/7 botting, when it has been completely proven to have close to no effect in diablo 3, is extremely dumb.

The bolded part, truth. If you are going to bot, you can't try and hide it by botting an hour a day, or 2 hours a day, or once a week. You are better off goings balls out and botting 24/7 for weeks straight nonstop and getting the most of it as you can, Either way if a ban wave hits the difference will be either your half the paragon level with half as many items you wish you had better. or youll be high para level with all the best ancient rolled items you could wish for. The second is what I had basically, 2 ancient kriders for both DH's, ancient furnace for raekors barb a few pieces more of ancient raekor armor and upgrades. DH's wer both full ancient cindercoat fire/cold prides fall M6, only had one good royal ring ancient though. Luckily about 2 days before the ban wave, I finally shared roughly 50-60 amulets worth of machines between various clan members out of a total ~150 of each machine of amulets.

Who the fuck would want to play a game like that?

Blizzard did me a favor banning me, fuck their game.

I haven't botted since like early January and I'm banned, oh well. I stopped botting because I was getting bored botting. Now the day I wanna continue I'm banned, oh well lol.

Same here i sometimes even stopped the bot because i was getting bored with botting. I am still unsure if i am going to buy a new license... now thinking for about 4 Days.

It sounds like most simply like watching their bot, and checking their loot every few hours. Maybe majority are holding on hoping they once again bring back worth playing for, which I wouldn't get my hopes up. I'd suggest stopping altogether, finding another game where you're actually able to profit, and even enjoy the game manually. Is it worth wasting money on, another 6-8 months worth of electricity and botting, for nothing to come out of it but a ban.
 
What Chrisbk88 said, I was (or still am) in the SAME position with my four bots, thousands of hours and 20 000+++ legendarys on each accoutn and no way near a perfect gears character...

And whats worse, when you finally get the perfect gear......a new patch comes out making your perfect gear shitty as hell. Not a problem if you bot, but if you sit here for hours and play by hand.....just for nothing.

Same exact thing I did and responded to the email from Bliz with a big THANK YOU! It was fun while it lasted. Not that they will get that email but still lol
 
I've been botting since June last year now, used to be chicken about being banned. But after slowly seeing all 6 characters with godly gears and getting them into top 100 leader board, there's just not much to do.. The game is just way to boring now even with the new content in season 2..

Yes, definitely will still bot but TBH reason I still bot till now is to see how long my account can last without getting ban.. so I can finally have the reason to uninstall the game
 
I had maybe 4000 hours total on my bot, and that made for best in slot every class, including cold/fire dh(almost mirrored ancient mara set, one best rolled krider one average roll ancient, pet wd ancient smk, zdps wd, raekors barb(up to date ancient furnace/raekors). 200+ ram's gifts, 80bil gold+.

Anyway i just installed 2x licenses to backup bnet accounts that were originally diablo 3 safe mules for gold holding. $20 a pop for new ros keys ezpz cuts down on cost, I logged in, friend invited me to a game at 2x level 1s. I went from 1-70 +120 paragons in 9 full rifts. Max JC/BS/Mystic, adventure mode unlocked with defeating only malthael without running through entire campaign. So I am all season 2 ready manual and bot play.
 
I bot as i dont have the hours to play the game i wish i did. i dont mind diablo; but the farming is BS. i never played seasons but given that one of my bot accounts has been banned, i will do my best to bot on 2-3 accounts now and alternate. I plan on having few that i can switch to, i think the trick is to not bot at all near the end of season, and stop for 2-3 weeks. On checking the history of the other ban ways, it was also pre and post major patches, 2.1.2 brought ancient items and i believe they used the opportunity to warden players, and see the patterns. My 2c anyway.

ill continue botting and live vicariously through my toons.

Good luck troops and just as a side note, funny how many top players are actually botters ahahahahhaha.... GG blizz
