Who wants an alternative to GB2?

kidding OFC m8 great work, cant wait to try it, was planning to make something similar but since somebody else already started seemed like waste of time :)
 
Just a suggestion; Could you add a mode that will be similar to say LazyRaider or Tyrael, that lets the player actually fly around, and the bot will collect the nodes?

I have to say i feel some what torn, both of you making a gathering bot, i may just use both.

I have been thinking about attempting to write, or rewrite something along these lines. I would bee really happy to see something like this implemented, but I also understand that Hard core farmers would scoff at the idea. "So... you have the time to fly your toon to the node, but your too lazy to click it?". The simple answer for me is yes I am, I don't mind flying around at times while chatting in vent to guildies, or waiting for a que, but I absolutely get sick of the "click" a node" ..."Re-enter Flight mode" routine (applies only to Mining as I gather exclusively on Druids, so Herbing is easy (on a side note lol I use "Mining aint easy" or similar reference as a guild name). I would love to be able to fly to a mining node and have the BOT take over, Mine it and Re-enter flight mode.

Just my 2 cents.

You just answered the question I was going to ask of Nate, which was "why?".

I'm still unconvinced as to the usefulness of such a fetaure.

I was referring to both Gatherbro and Farmer Joe.

That's my problem I keep having all these ideas about what I want it to do, the problem is finding the time to implement them at the moment.

Looks like work is going to get busier over the next few weeks. This is bad news for my development time. :( As it is now I don't have much free time, I'd like twice what I have now to be able to spend on this project. It just seems like the end is getting further and further away.

1. Works more important.
2. I would rather wait a few months and get a nice bot with great features, than have you finish it last minute.

I love your work, it is quality. I would much rather wait longer to have the Bot work the way you intend it, than get a glitchy ruched version just to quiet the masses. Keep up the great work brotha!!

Well i don't mind flying around myself, soon as a node comes into range, the bot will take over and gather it and it stops there. For me, that would be perfect. I do think people would use this option if it was available, i personally would. I would not use this on a bot account where i cant AFK, would be more on my main account.

People who want to make money with the bot wouldn't fly around manually for any reason.

am reading this with my morning coffee... been following since page 7 or so. keep it up, FPS, and take your time. quality > quantitiy.
and i am in awe of you not ranting at people constantly asking "when is it out?"-stuff w/o being able to at least look 2 pages where you stated current news.
 
52 pages already, been following it since the beginning.

I would like to say: test extensiveley, try to make it as accurate and user-friendly as possible.

Looking forward to futher progress.

To be fair he did not ask for a release date... He asked for NEWS which is a big difference...
Stop trying to play hero... Its embarrassing.
