Is it the base application, that I pay for? Or is it the community created plugins?

Problem 1:

The bot will just stop fighting an elite, and ignore any mobs for up to 30 seconds and just keeps running.

Problem 2:

The bot will ignore progression globes

Problem 3:

The bot will just stop fighting for 5 to 10 seconds in the middle of a mob pack.

Problem 4:

The bot will back track all the way to the dungeon entrance, even though he's standing inches away from uncovered map, then double back and continue to progress for a while (at least until it does it again).

These were not (at least as obvious) issues prior to the most recent rounds of patches - can anyone clear this up for me?

Well, without the current plugins, DB would probably have been way worse.

I'm assuming that English isn't your first language because if it was it will be taken much differently - if you're trying to determine where the issues you are describing are coming from, it's likely the latest version of Trinity (2.14.39). A lot of things seem to have changed in that version, I personally went back to .31 until they are resolved in a newer non-SVN version.

Demonbuddy does almost nothing by itself, so your problems are related to plugins.

Now, all the problems you mentioned are known, but #1 and #3 are usually only reported for DMO wiz. Are you running DMO wiz by any chance?

#4 sounds like a navigator problem. Which one are you using? Adventurer or QuestTools? What version? Also, what version of Trinity are you running?

Also 'poor performance' is a terrible way of putting it. Trinity is a really complex plugin and as such it's bound to have a few bugs, especially considering new builds with new play styles pop up all the time and we have very little time to offer support for them (we're only 2 devs working on trinity currently). That being said, it does a lot of things really well. There are users in here farming level 80 GRs with Trinity's LoN sader code. There are people crafting hundreds of hellfire amulets a couple of times a week thanks to our speed farming builds support and navigation plugins. Trinity even equips your gear and selects your skills for you when you're leveling up so you don't need to bother.

So yeah, does it have annoying bugs? Absolutely. Are they detrimental to performance? Only slightly. Is it worth the money you paid? If you ask me, yes, absolutely.

What problems do you have with .39 that weren't there before?

#1 and #3, but I was using DMO wiz too and I went from doing GD72's to getting destroyed even on 65's - I didn't spend too long on it before just reverting back and just waiting on the next version as I had seen a lot of reports and figured it wasn't a big deal for me to wait.

Objectivity is the main domain of creative people. Start from yourself. Try to read and learn. Use your imagination :).

From the practical point of view - use some sort of application archiving. DB app is quite friendly with that. Just copy and paste DB folder, name it, save it a side in case of too many bugs with new version. If you encounter above problems, just run your old version. Simple as that.

Another thing that makes life easier is troubleshooting. Try to learn and understand the content of log files. Maybe implement some parsing tool that will filter the view based on some key words.

Give yourself a try and take a look what this app actually is, from the engineering point of view.

Cheers

WTF are u talking about ? Im paying for bot and i want it to be as good as it can be without any try hard stuff from my side.

You paid for a bot that does "nothing" but lets you use FREE plugins.
Get off your highhorse.

I really hate people like you - you had all the options in the world to read about how the bot worked, with the diffrent plugins there is - there is even free trials.

Then afterwards you come in here and whine about its not just "Press Run".

When you have spent an hour or so on reading through it all, you can pretty much setup your bot so you will only have to press "Run" from now on.

But instead you expect this to be setup already? How the hell should people know what kind of build you where running, now they are giving the options of like 100 different builds, of course you will have to change some settings for your build to work.

Newsflash -> This is not an aimbot for your CSGO or whatever kind of bot you expected you had purchased, this is 9239392 more advanced and it requires you to actually read through some treads on how it work.

Wait.... Are you supposed to be only running one of these, I've had both of them them ticked (Or even in the folder) and I did think they looked awfully similar in the settings....

Im talking about bugs that i cant fix, not about configuration options. Zzzzz........

While you did pay for DemonBuddy, please remember that you got what you paid for. A framework that you can use to create plugins and profiles for use within the game.

Anything that shows up in your plugins or profiles folder were provided free of charge by the amazing Dev community here. That includes Trinity, Adventurer, AutoFollow, YAR, etc.

History Lesson? History Lesson:

Adventurer, for example, was originally made by TarasBulba after a longstanding outcry from the community. Before this, you would have to search through a couple pages of the Profile section to find things that did what you wanted. Then you had to keep up with which ones were supported, when they were updated, or even scroll through 50 pages of replies to find a fix someone posted [Which you would then have to modify the files yourself].

There used to be 2 community Rift profiles and 2 GRift profiles which made keeping up on bug reporting and which worked best was a headache. One would be updated and better, then two weeks later the other one was updated and was better. If you missed the update, oh well.

Bounties had to be done separately by act, each with it's own profile that had to be independently loaded. You had to add your own blacklist for bounties that didn't work well for you. You had to employ YAR to load different acts or else you would leave the bot for 5 hours just in Act 1 if you were AFK.

Keywarden profiles were bounty profiles that every bounty was removed except for the one's that had the keywardens, and it would run the whole bounty, not just hunt the KeyWarden.

Adventurer is so good that it even replaced QuestTools.

rrix used to run Trinity and Quest Tools while creating/maintaining some of the critical profiles and plugins. He left 2 patches ago.

TarasBulba has been gone since 2.4 launched.

xzjv, Jubisman have always been around creating for the community as long as I have been here. They picked up where rrix left off. There was no downtime, most people who aren't on the forums often probably didn't even notice the main DB Dev had left.

And Trinity is better than it's even been. AutoFollow is better than SimpleFollow ever was and it's actually being supported. YAR has been brought back to life. Adventurer has been updated.

TL :DR DemonBuddy is the best it's been since I started using it. All you do is install it, login, pick a provided profile and you're botting.

All of that is free of charge to you and provided by the community.

If they making this plugins for free, then its completely their fault that its so bugged, cuz when u dont get paid for ur work u kinda dont give a fuck about it, perfect example latest trinity with a lot of bugs and no fixes till now... Maybe if no one will create/support their plauigns for free, DB stuff will actually hire some one who will make good plugins.
For example leaguesharp is paid, and devs getting paid for work, and they have over9k plugins. What I see here, after 2-3 years of diablo there are fucking ~5 plugins.
If you are so impressed with this bot and plugins, then u probably didnt saw good ones.

The door is that way

Always there will be some one who will say something like if you dont like it dont use it or respect devs and all that crap. But deep deep inside you know that this bot is bad. Lets take basics - rifts. Why the fuck bot is runing around, backwards, then forward, then circles if it knows how map looks, why it not runing like shrine>shrine>shrine>exit, it wasting shit tonz of time. And i hope you wont say that time isnt important for botting, cuz obv it is.

I don't know what to say, with some of my own fixes my crusaders are doing 70+ with badly rolled legendaries, works pretty damn well tbh. If you don't like a product don't use it, it's as simple as that.

My bot does exactly that lol elit>shrine>boss>shrine>elite>shrine>boss>exit. 4-5 min / 58 GR.

Poor plsfixbugs does not know how to setup his bot to run propperly =)
