Whispers from fake blizzard GMs

So I recently got a whisper with some BS fake GM telling me to battlenet.com or some crap because I am botting. I know its fake, but how do they know that I am actually botting? Or is it just spammed to everyone and I just happened to be botting lol.



Kinda threw me off, would like to hear thoughts.

Why do you think they know you botting? Relax mate, they dont know, they whisper everybody.

Seems reminiscent of the old d2 whisper bots that would sit in public channels and whisper everyone that came in, they were just promoting item sales sites though

Ah I forgot about the fact we all go into the same chat when recreating games. I was trying to determine the common variables. I'm sure that's it.

It was a player named Blizzard0 or something with blizzard in the name. Something like:
