Is there a way to set the wisper sound or normal chat with an add on , so if anyone wisper you or talk to you it automatically plays an mp3 or wave file sound as a warning?

Description:
I Hear You Whisper plays a sound when you receive Whisper message. This is a light weight addon and no configuration is necessary, just install and forget about it. This addon is useful if you are constantly losing important messages in the often massively spammed general and trade chats, or if you are in battle and don't want to miss any messages.
Improvements:
There are several addons in the I Hear You family. You can pick and choose which combination of sounds you want played. Here is the list:

• I Hear You Guild - Plays sound on guild messages only
• I Hear You Whisper - This Page - Plays sound on whisper messages only
• I Hear You Party - Plays sound on party/group messages only

is there anything that will play sound with wow sound off because i run 5 bots at the same time so even with sound effects on there is alot of noise coming out any ideas would be possible with HB but GB has no plugin option so ho do you guys get round the problem

I believe it?s possible to code a plugin for that. I just don?t know enough C# yet to be sure if it?s possible or not.

i dont know how those addons are coded, but if you call something like this in a wow addon

PlaySoundFile("Interface\\AddOns\\MyAddonFolder\\Sounds\\MySoundFile.wav");

it will play the sound even if wow sounds are disabled (unless blizzard changed something in the last few months.)

i suggest you the addon chatter. In it you can set sounds for all kinde of chatchannels and set up some other stuff too.

I would recommend the add-on "WIM - Wow Instant Messenger" It is not a sound whisper add-on, but when someone whispers you, a Windows pops with the whisper, and doesnt go away until answared. That's a great add-on when botting, cause when you leave your pc, and returns maybe 3-4 hours later, you'll see all the whispers you have gotten.

I'm using Chatsounds

It plays soundfiles on whisper, guild messages, party messages and other channels. I disabled all other WoW Sounds, but the whisper-sound works fine
The current version from curse.com is for 3.0.9, but it works fine on 3.3.3

the addon Alt Tab Toggle will bypass disabled gamesound and play a beep and even bring the specific wow window forward
