Before any recommendation may i ask you your mainboard model please?
Some mainboards dont support up to 500MB Read/write speeds and if your mobo is one of them SSD upgrade wont mean much. Also you can just buy a cheaper and slower one according to that.
I'm using a P5Q PRO which doesn't have SATA3 so the speeds are a little bit slower than they would be with a newer motherboard. I chose the M4 for reliability as my last Corsair Force Series 2 drive died after less than 4 months. With basically any SSD you'll notice a difference. The Kingston SSDNOW drives are probably the most inexpensive and are somewhat reliable.
yep this is why you put the OS and like WoW on it as those are programs which do not change much. What you do not put on SSD's are like music/pics/movie files that one may access every now and than and if you like to fraps do not put the fraps directory on the SSD!!!!
The M4 is a great choice, almost as fast as the Vertex3 but a lot more stable. Being as your on SataII it will not max its speeds but it will be tons faster than what you have atm.
