Which is a good way to get my character some decent armor?

I got one toon to level 85 and been using HB with RAF. At the momment I am leveling an alternate character for gathering and wondering which is a easy way of getting some decent gear for my toon.

Level by questing... you get good enough armor as quest rewards. Other than that, low cost upgrades in the AH from time to time if you want... don't spend alot of gold on items that are going to be underpowered in 3-4 levels.

First and foremost, save yourself the time in the future and get every heirloom right now. Run your 85 through BG's, convert all the HP to JP and buy all heirloom gear. Transfer it all to one bank alt and have it all sorted so you don't have to go looking through 5-6 toons to find the set you want.

I enchant everything the best I can for level 1 as well (+15 agi on daggers, +250 health chest, etc), everything little thing is a big help. Don't forget to get the two heirloom trinkets as well (most people for get them) and buy one of each of the cloaks and helms from the guild rep. Once you have it all, congratulations, you are now ready to start botting alts.

That's what I do as well. Hitting 85 and having 4k JP and honor is pretty nice. After you buy 2 or 3 pieces with the JP convert the 4k honor back to justice points for another piece or two of gear.
