Hi from observing the forum i see litteraly loads of threads about suspensions and bans

I have noticed all of these have been from using HB so my question is what the difference and how is blizz detecting one but not the other.

Is there a fundemental difference in the coding of teh program that blizz can detect or is it simple cos Hb is mainly for ground use ie not flying so easier for gm's and other players to see you.

on a side note i have given up farming ores on my realm as the prices are rock bottom so what do i do with my 1600 ele ores lol

so your saying suspensions and ban are only from GM's physically seeing players using hb, i dnt see this as a valid reason as in blizz terms and conditions they have to be able to detect a 3rd party program using the ''warden'' so say i get either of the penalties can i ask for porve of there 3rd party program detection?

as from reading into the tripwire system is pretty safe, shame we couldnt ***** like i used to on ''oblivion'' just multiply the id code of an item so many times ha ha

GB-> memread and use of virtual key clicks (thats why you need to setup macros)
HB-> memread AND write.
correct me if wrong.

best bot would be a fast pixelbot :D
But still, being reported is being reported, babysit bot unless you don't care if you get banned.

ok so to wrap my noob thread up you guys are saying blizz cant detect the program at all?

These reports are coming from behaviors that are detectable from server-side (referred to as 'risky botting behavior'), and player reports. (More general information here.) They are not coming from Warden detection; otherwise, the entire 20000+ GB/HB user base would have gotten tagged.

The reason there seems to be so many reports is twofold:
  • People are creating multiple 'banned' threads, and everyone that got banned is chiming in on each one.
So basically, divide the number of people posting in those threads by the number of threads to see the actual number of people actually tagged. As of the my last check, that factor was 'divide by eleven' or so.

  • Blizzard has been too busy with the Cataclysm release to act on 'behavior' type reports--things like 'botting' and 'abuse of economy'.
So, these reports have been stacking up for almost two months, and now they've the time to address them as things are starting to settle down. The other 'category' of reports are always handled immediately--things such as outright *****ing in PvP, scamming, unacceptable spamming or language in the trade channels, etc.

In short, this is business as usual. Blizzard is well aware of the effect that 'batching slow-burn reports' does to botting and hacker communities, and ours is providing the exact reaction that the 'batching of punishments' was designed to yield.

Just my $0.02,
chinajade
