What's the best way to level?

Title pretty much says it all I am planning on levelling a new class 1-85...

Using the current profiles available, what is the best way to level?
Question is supposed to be general not per class/spec etc.

Feel free to add say "Grinding 1-70 questing 70-80 using XXX profile PVP 80-85" something like that would be very helpful.

Also, please note that I haven't had a look at making or changing profiles etc.

Personally i do:

1 - 15 : Quest or Grind
15 - 70 : PvP (Pref AB and AV)
70 - 80 : Archaehology/PvP Mixed
80 - 83 : Archaeology
83 - 85 : Grind/PvP
 
i would say 1-70 quest, 70-85 Archeology. Quest is pretty safe and exp income is constant compared to PvP.
 
I would say not get caught by the many MANY SPIES THAT ARE OUT TO GET YOU!!!

Huh, I was quite surprised that Archeology is good xp? and decent money now I guess? Any XP rates for me to compare? (X xp/h at level X)
Will try this out.

I've tried 1 questing profile so far a 60-68 profile and I thought, when it worked it was good but when it didn't work it was quite bad. The other profile I've tried is a grinding profile 53-58 swamp of sorrows which similarly was good when it done 1-2 mob pulls but would occasionally mount up and pull about 10 mobs, not good.

Is there any guide for botting PVP? I've never looked into that feature of the bot.
 
Archaeology is excellent once you have flying. I was easily doubling the xp I was getting in my grind/quest profiles.

Gotta invest in flying though. Plus swift flying or speedhack to make it really good. Also don't train archaeology above 450 until you are 85. That will prevent you from getting the Cata sites.
 
so do Mixed Mode work with arch/pvp? I've read mixed mode is buggy atm, tho it was grinding/pvp..
 
Here are my two pennies:

1-15 Quest

15 - 60 Grind

60 - 66 Herbalism (Icecap in Winterspring - really fast)

66 - 70 Questing Outland

70 - 80 Archeology

No idea if this is fast, or even the fastest method.

Btw: How do you solve item issues, I noticed, that i am constantly undergeared.

well if u dont want items from tol vir in kalimdor or nerubian in eastern kingdoms , u could not train archeo for 450-525 and never get tol vir or nerubian item and only sticking to night elf dwarf fossil and troll
 
im new to arch....you lost me in whatever you just said. can you explain why i wouldnt want to?

Tolvir digsites spawn when you have the 450+ arch kill in Uldum, a level 83+ area. They would wtfpwn you if you are < level 82..
 
so do you gain good exp even tho you're 80+ and your arc is at 450?
