What type of botting got you banned

Maybe this forum needs less ignorant fools not bothering to do proper research before posting?

Over 80% of this forum has never had a ban, and the majority of them bots more or less 24\7. Your poll doesn't even have an option to display this fact, but based on previous discussions and polls I can tell you it's true. And if 24\7 over 2 months straight will not get you a surefire ban that means this entire poll and discussion is completely irrelevant. People are getting detected based on other factors.

Only by having stupid threads that eliminate these factors can we rule them out. A bunch of piss takers spouting off and ripping on me really isn't anything other than flat out trolling; really poor trolling at that.

If everyone one who came in and dissed on me contributed something positive or collaborative on gathering info and set aside the ego for a bit we may actually get something worth while.

My poll wasn't good enough? How about instead of taking a piss here you PM me or make your own poll with all the options missing here and link to it here.

I happen to find theorizing about how they are catching us very interesting probably the most interesting thing going on; if you don't that is no problem, but there is no need for you to come into this thread and take a piss.

The only thing it shows is that you think way too much of yourself and way too little of others and that you want people to think you're cool bro; also in a lot of cases it shows closed mindedness and ignorance.

Anyway, this thread has obviously taken a turn towards piss taking even though the number of votes is climbing on such a poor shabby poll I think this should just be closed.

If you find it so fucking interesting do your research properly and read the ban threads and ban reports instead of making random bullshit polls. There's 57 ban threads and 973 replies and if you read even a fraction of them you could've eliminated this threory long before you made the poll.

But no, you just go ahead and spam the forum with useless threads and missleading theories all because you didn't bother to do proper research, if any research at all.

I have read those threads, thanks for proving my point about you. none of those threads collect the raw numbers for analysis or provide information on the number of unbanned users. Hey, but I get it you don't like me and you think I'm stupid. Maybe you should do some research and find out just how stupid I really am.

The discussion and poll offend you, that is unfortunate, but I guess you having a go at me ( pissing contest?) is totally okay and on the up and up. It's cool I got ticked and acted an ass the other day so I earned my karma.

Well if you wanted some real numbers you should've included options such as "Botting 24\7 - Not banned" and "Botting 10h day, not banned". Because if youre statistics show that 3 guys got banned while botting 24\7 and 57 botted 24\7 and without getting banned. Then that's some pretty darn conclusive evidence that 24\7 is not a deciding factor in whether or not you get banned.

Because what the ones that got banned did is not really that interesting, what is interesting is what separates the ones that got banned from the ones that did not.

Specific profile (No, people get banned across the board AGB, Inegro, Core of Arreat, leveling)
Lack of achievements (Did they just bot from 1-60 using X quest, then perhaps the deciding factor is their lack of common achievements you get through normal play?)
Specific bot (No, people got banned with anything from DB to IB to AutoIT past few days)
Gold Collected (No, people have 700m+ and still going strong)
Specific loot rules (DB team changed the way loot was handled, not longer near instant sell)
Specific plugins
Selling gold
Other exploits
Other types of botting (AH?)
Get reported
Use RMAH
Too many from same IP / HWID / Network ID / Credit Card / PayPal Account

And the list goes on.

exactly, there is no way I could get everything in this one poll. I did a quick poll to gather the information I was interested in at that time. I suggest again if someone wants to invest the time and take the info here and create a new poll that would be a wise choice, but I will not be doing that as I already created this poll and everyone seems to think the 30 seconds I invested in the options that interested me was not nearly good enough; do it better yourself as I can't change the poll.

you can not expect to get all the data exactly right the first time especially if that was not a goal.
