lmao to funny, im glad i just bot for paragon lvls. blizzard will probably sell gold themselves.
march 18, keep that date in mind probably release date of loot 2.0 or expansion.
 
Well, in recent months im getting only few items worth more than couple Eur each week anyway, so i don't really need AH to sell them. However i see 2 issues caused by this change :

1) We will no longer be able to compare on Ah how items similar to ours are priced, so it will require some education to know which items are valuable.
2) RMAH was extremely handy at rush times, after game release or item patch, when we were getting many valuable items each day because market was fresh and there was high demand for everything. But i think that nature will found its way, probably without RMAH third party sites serving as proxies between trading parties will flourish.

Overall it will make earning profits off d3 botting far more annoying than it is now, but far from impossible. And with ladder i think that market will be more stable than it is now.
 
This is not at all surprising. The xbox 360 version that was just released had no AH at all so this should have been your fist clue. It's been a good run, I personally have probably made over 20,000 off of this game, not too bad for a stupid video game. we have all profited from D3. So what are you all complaining about?
 
No way do I want to nor have the time to run a D2 webstore anymore like my high school days... I am a grown man with a full time job and errands to run... this is terrible news...
 
Btw how do you run a webstore angelshalo, you mean like running a website ? Will i need to learn web design as well lol :D

Good one. Srsly, one can either play game like this legit or make shitload of money off it, but botting only to get some pixels is plainly retarded.

At least I've paid for my game multiple times over with the RMAH... kinda mad though, was about to build a better rig for 15 instances. I mean, you can always contact a website and offer to bot for them, setting up a profit share plan. You bot, they sell your items and gold. Not the best return, but at least you don't deal with random ass delivery times.
 
Blizzard are idiots..... the issue wasn't the AH, the issue was to get to the very end game content you had to use the AH. All they had to do was alter the way loot drops work or implement a new item system so the % of items that drop are more useful for you specifically so you didn't need to use the AH to progress as fast. There could still have been juicy items that drop for all... they could have kept their AH profits and self found players would be able to progress almost as fast as someone who used the AH.

yeah i had some crappy angelfire page with tons of animated GIFs and background MIDI. i would post my finds there weekly and arrange deals, also spam d2jsp, trade chat etc. it was a pain in the ass but when i was making $10-$50 a week in high school it was amazing LOL

You get profits from ruining the game. That's not illegal but don't act like you're entitled to that money.

Get educated and a job that pays enough so that you don't go crazy losing this source of income.

no... plans changes but this was stupid on blizzards part - they trying to be a reputable gaming company again but little do they know that ship has sailed.

I wonder how long it will take for the crowds of legit players (who are now pissing their pants with joy and delight), to start trashing Blizzard again because this will most likely unleash an avalanche of spam (and scam) in general chat, among other things. Not to mention that due to lesser amount of players on one particular channel will mean that players won't be able to get the best price for their loot.
Also it seems that the RMAH wasn't that big a cash cow for Blizzard after all (at least in recent months), or they wouldn't dare to terminate it like this.
