What is SVN?

Well, I think the title explains, I just came back from a break and I see alot has changed, what are these "SVN" all about? i see them being added to CC's but, what do they do, and how do I use it?

Allows you to update the CC's without having to re-download them from here, then unzipping them all the time. Right-click the folder, SVN update, updates the CC if any.... same with profiles.
