I don't know why anyone would run anything 24/7, its just suicidal.

Only lost one account ever and that was with the luaNinja thing along time ago.

Answered your own question
The user leaves bot on 24/7 and takes all the gathered items and mails them to another "safe" account every morning and night
By having it on 24/7 or known as "suiciding" he is gaining more money and transfering the items limits his loss

I think ...

I bot 12 hrs a day on my main with 10 85s and a spectral tiger.. using a *** makes it so you don't have to worry about bans :D

As stated in countless other threads asking this same question. It really depends on the user... I bot, hack, have sold 100's K gold, and basically anything else I might find interesting. Had my same main account for years, nothing has ever happened to it once.. no warning, no 72 hour ban, nothing. Various factors to play a role such as how many hours per day, if ur bot does some stupid shit in the middle of crowds (run in to a wall for 6 hours?), if you hack at all if no one is around to see u do it... really slim chance, but then there are people that will get the Iron Man Achieve on a level 10 priest in 3 mins and then wonders why they are banned.

So short answer... trying to give a percentage to this sort of thing is pretty useless. its mainly user error that gets people banned.

It being your main account makes no difference so it's a dumb poll really...

it depends on the profile your using, weather anyone bothers you and how greedy you get. if you dont get greedy you wont get banned. its as simple as that.

This, plus it also depends on what you are doing. If you are using a quest bot (something that doesn't look very bot like) there is little likelihood that you will get banned/suspended. If you are using a GrindBot/Gratherbuddy, there is a higher likelihood, especially if you do it for 12+ hours a day. I typically level new characters for most of my money. It does take time, but it is safe, and it is working on the Stay Classy achievement for my alt guild, lol. I sometimes supplement my questing with no more than a half hour on Gatherbuddy, and I get a crapton of mats in that time in Uldum.

Yep agreed, Greed is the biggest factor in most people's bans.

lol, like me then....game sux but botting <3333 it's awesome lol

I have been botting and hacking on my main account for 7 years and have never been banned. But I bot for less then 5 hours a day max and hack extreamly safe. So I play everything very safe and avoid anything suspicious going on. Also helps to be luck and miss waves when things are detected like the glider banwave.

What kind of hacking do you mean??

i bot about 30 hours a week on my main account..
have been for the past 6 months

I make my own farming profiles to reduce the chance of other botters going over my path. Also i supervise it 95% of the time. All in all botting on your main account is fine if you do it smart.

I voted 80%, I try not to bot on my main account < 168 hours/week.

i never got banned the one times i got banned was my own mistakes by botting 12 hours a day the same route over again in uldem:)

I am leveling another alt using HB.
I've created my own grinding profiles and always paying attention to the bot, seeing how it is my main account.
I used to bot herb/mine on my main in the start of cata, but honestly, it is not worth the risk when you can get such cheap SoR accounts.

grinding is bad better use questing kick's profiles.

Do you link the SoR accounts to your main battle.net?
And how about transfering the proceeds to a main, any tips? :)
I'm not so sure if i'm in the clear to link a SoR to my battle.net is why I ask, but i'd love to be able to benefit off any old achievs / mounts / titles the SoR might have....

Been botting for bit over a year now, sometimes went a bit extreme like grinding for over 12 hours, gathering, bgbuddying all the night etc, but mostly playing safe and I have had no warnings or bans whatsoever yet. As said, play it safe and you reduce the chance to be banned ALOT.

I've been botting for a few years now and not been banned.
