Something I think people forget is that when you purchase Honorbuddy you are only purchasing the default CCs that come with the product. You are not purchasing the CCs developed by individuals in the community.

CC developers are not paid for the work. They do it for fun or because they feel their contributions can fill a perceived gap in the default CC or existing user developed CCs.

If a developer wants to move on and discontinue their work there is nothing stopping them from doing so, they have absolutely no obligation to continue their project. If someone else wants to pick up and continue development of any given CC project (with the permission of the original author) they are more than welcome to do so.

I am aware of the fact that most of the CC's written by developers are not standing to make money, however, if you look around the site, you can definitely see plenty of PayPal Donation links strewn about various profiles, signatures, or threads.

What I was more or less getting at, but not articulating well enough, was that it would be nice to have some of these CC's that are being written to fill "voids", collaborated on and improved to be as amazing as possible, to BE the default CC's that come with HonorBuddy.

And by no means am I trying bash on anyone, I appreciate all of the hard work that goes on into coding these bots for the years that I have been using them in games.

If you guys want to be paid then you should sell your cc. Maybe then cc's would actually work fully. I would be willing to pay for fully supported working cc's.
 
Almost all of my CCs are developed with PVE grinding/questing in mind. They are written with the express purpose of getting a character from level 1 to level 85.

When people want CCs to do very specific tasks such as follow a set rotation in a raid/heroic instance there are going to be discrepancies between design purpose and customer expectation.

If people think back a year ago to what CCs were doing and what CCs are now capable of doing you will see that they are poles apart. Something I have noticed is the more features you give people them the more features they expect you to give them; you give them one wheel and they want to wheels, you give them to wheels and they want for wheels.

As I said the .cc's fo yours and Mord's are fine for what they do, infact they are exceptional. Don't really need one that suits a specific raid or heroic, just one that pumps out the best dps for the level 85 character, a minimal one that throws a heal in now and then :0

I agree more bells and whistles added, more bells and whistles wanted.

All these votes for Rogue, yet only a couple of people offering useable comments. You guys want a new rogue CC but don't tell us what is wrong with the current ones, seriously, how are we supposed to work with that?
 
DK needs improvements, none of them support any of the new moves, and they are very slow.. (doesn't support pvp/IB ext) and the rotation is abysmal, Icy touch/blood strike is not a rotation, their needs to be support for more moves then the 2
 
Well I voted for Warrior because I'm currently trying to level one and am having difficulties finding a CC that looks like it's working correctly. Maybe I just haven't tried the right one yet but it appears none of them use all the skills like they should.

I'd would think that tanks and healer CCs would be top priority because they are necessary in instances. My own experience with a Priest and Ensemble has been very positive and I've read many good things about Shamwow's healing performance here at the forums.

So, it looks like there are very good healer options, but is there a comparable Protection Warrior CC?
 
we do not even have a working level warr CC. Fury is the way to go.
 
Paladin:
Support for 80+, minor issues

Warrior:
Lots of stuck issues where it jumped in circles saying it was stuck... in mid field (it may have been HB the last time I used it)

Priest:
I think raphus is ditching Ensemble and doing something with Ensemble, I dunno. But i hated it's blacklisting thing. it's nice to blacklist that spell, but not the entire tree (ie: mechanical mobs are generally immune to disease... but not shadow spells - it would blacklist ALL spells and wand it to death... it wouldn't even use holy/disc spells if you were shadow spec)

Rogue:
Smarter eating after combat / running away and eating / pulling (see below)

All CC's:
Attempt to fix the targetting issue (might be HB) where it wants to choose between two targets and runs in circles for a while (clicks near one, clicks near one behind it, rinse and repeat) - very annoying and bottish
Various targeting improvements (around corners, behind other walls, up stairs, etc).
Smarter evading bug blacklisting. I don't want to be attacking 1 mob for 5 hours

DK:
We need a DK CC that doesn't throw errors every time it targets something

Questing:
Me.IsInVehicle, Me.IsFlying need to be added to tell the CC to screw off (stop buffing, etc)

Questing:
there are various quests where you have an aura that turns your toon to friendly w/ mobs that are usually agro. When this happens, the CC (it might be hb, i dunno) keeps trying to kill the "for the duration - friendly mobs" ... so it's acting like it's checking or something, i dunno.

I used ur rogue and it kept trying to sap stuff while it had various aura's on it while questing. Rogue needs smarter methods for pulling or avoiding 20 mobs at once (naga in zangarmarsh suck) - or an option to not try and attack X mobs within Y range for the user

Paladin, because their dps is quite low because Zealotry and Inquisition are missing.
 
The few Rogue CC's that are available have pulling issues mainly when it trys back stab it will get stuck until the mob turns around. It should cheap shot if It cant open with backstab. Another issue: when the bot can't keep up with the mob it wil stutter step until the mob stops or circles back around. Rotation is messed up dps is extremely low. There has been plenty of reviews and recommendations in the two Rogue threads... If you have the time to look over them I think you'd get a better insight since I've only leveled my worgen rogue to 40 and had to stop because of runing wild being broken.

I would love a new Holy Paladin PvP/PvE CC now that the spells have been revamped. I also get fatal errored when I use Aura Mastery when I use it and the bots running in the back (not started up), but that might be something else.
 
FPS I voted rogues for the simple reason that there seems to be a total lack of support for rogues in general. I believe yours is the only current cc (minus the default) and if im not mistaken it only supports up to a certain lvl. Personally I don't play my rogue very often so it's probably not the big of an issue for me per se. But I would like to see some rogue love.

Mage. The elemental doesnt use his Freeze, doesnt use his Conjure Refreshments and a support of Ice Barrier would be more than nice.

ski's warlock CC would be awesome if it was updated. One of the best CC's around for how configurable it was. Especially for the Affliction side of things.

Mage has one of the best CC's out right now thanks to Code with his Amplify CC.
 
Personally I'd like to see more developers just work together on Ensemble or Singular, instead of having so many CC's to have to chose from, it would be enjoyable if HonorBuddy was more "out of the box" ready to go.
