What builds work best?

All i wanna do is farm exalts. would love to see the most optimal build to farm them and the area on merc to farm them or if i should be doing maps in general.

I'm sure everyone would like this lol. Truth is, it's all random. Maps add iiq which in turn helps make currency drop aka some what exalts. Your best bet is to get a build that can do most maps pretty quickly and chicken less. I also put some iir for more rares to sell for alts which get me more currency in the long run

Well I usually do Dominus for Alt and Unique farming.

my TR and dual claw static strike both do dominus under 3-4min. (that is from creating first instance and dealing killing blow). I think my static strike dual claw might be under 2min because it fast travels there with whirling blades.

Also tips along the way would be great (if there are any to be given)

i think doing boss runs would be slower if someones goals are to obtain exalts though in my opinion...

i do a flame totem build and ive only gotten 2 exalts and i do pure archive runs...

maybe i should stick to doing maps... i have like 2 full pages of 66 maps xD

I might try that out once the bot is out again, altho, I'd love to see your own tree and other changes etc

From my experience on standard league, its best to make a character with 100% iiq (100 not less, thats 2x more) that have good clear speed, and just run magic maps till 75, then 75 + rare maps. (then sell all 77 and 78 maps).
Orbs are not a problem at all, pickup only rare 2x2, and 3x1 (thanks drew for that). For 2h and chests you want to pickup only good bases. Save all with 2 high res and high life, they will sell sooner or later. I also have 140% iir on top of that, clearing very fast (crit build), iiq gem and iir gem (6link), goldwyrm boots, legacy amulet and rings with iiq, not so expensive if you cap resistances on gloves,chest,helmet.

On second weapon slot get cheap 6linked weapon, alt it until you get +1 to gems, put there enlighten** gem, and level other gems.

I tried to edit the item filter so it would save chests like that, but I failed, gave up and couldnt figure it out even with all the info on the forums...

I am using filter posted here on forums, but you still have to edit that so you want to grab all these high ES chests, basically there is huge difference between hardcore and standard buyers, as playing in hardcore gives you a lot more sellable gear, when playing in standard you need ggg gear to be able to sell it. I focus on orbs, uniques, and weapons.
