What builds do people bot with?

Just curious as I do not even have exilebuddy *YET* but plan on getting it this weekend when I have more time.

Ive used demonbuddy a bunch of times so already kind of understand how exilebuddy works.

So after reading some start guides and such and reading about the routines im kind of wondering what builds people bot with and what they find easiest?

I personally like a tankier build. Usually short range. I like this as it helps tank ad the bot doesn't have built in kite. So need to be able to not get blown up all the time. I recommed just some cheap simple one to start to gather currency. Then can experiment with more expensive gear.

So any ideas? Im pretty new to POE myself, been playing about a month that's it. I was thinking of dual flame totem marauder build (since its one I haven't tried yet) but read in some of the guides on exilebuddy that a lot of builds aren't supported or need their own CR written for them.

Is there a working CR for dual flame totem or maybe like a cyclone build or something?


What I would really like is to get a hold of someone in the community that has been botting on POE for a while and ask them some questions

I'm doing ARC atm due to low income atm.
I would say that ARC is an awesome starting-build to collect cash for a more bad-ass build.
But as someone said it's difficult to bot afk if you manage to get in front of a pack that has "Immortality totem" behind them.
I will probably try to collect enough currency on my Torment character so that I can make a tankier end-game char once Torment is moved to Standard

I wouldn't mind a tanky type of melee build either. Of course like I said im pretty new to POE so I only know a handful of builds myself. Ive done arc with, freezing pulse witch and am playing a TS puncture ranger atm.

A fun melee build would be great (if one exists and is supported)

Then I can figure out about exilebuddy and loot rules and profiles and everything else.



Basically without knowing much about exile buddy im looking for SOMETHING like this:

- A fun melee build that does a decent amount of damage and is pretty tanky
- A bot to run lower level maps, or even docks or something like that to just build some currency and find maybe a couple good uniques once in a blue moon
- For loot I pretty much want it to pick up ALL maps and save them. Any good uniques (sell value of like 5+ chaos or higher), all rares to either sell for alt shards and/or chaos vendor recipe, 6 socket items to sell for jewelers, 3 linked r-g-b to sell for chromes, keep 6l items, and keep all currency obviously
- Maybe run corrupted area in docks or something to farm sac pieces

Something like that is what im looking for at the moment

I am also still a bit confused about leagues. I seem to hear a lot of people talking about making chars on torment and playing them on standard.

I know they roll over once the "league" ends, but don't people just start the new league then? Kind of like ladder in d2? Most people don't make chars in ladder, wait till ladder ends and then play non ladder from then on out. They sell off everything or delete the characters and then start up in new ladder season.

Facebreaker. Great for beginners. Start up around 20 chaos on current leagues maybe double when new league starts.

Before I switched to mjolner I was sitting at 20k dps with 20/20 gems 5k hp and pretty much mediocre gear.

That's true, ARC aint bad, but it aint the best either!
All you have to do is to start with a life sprig on ARC and you're good to go level 55 with random shit gear

Appreciate all the input guys, I believe I am going to go with facebreaker though.

- Seems fun
- Seems easy
- Looking forward to a melee build
- Doesn't seem very expensive
- Good tankyness

One of the best things about POE is all the great builds that are out there, all of them pretty OP and very fun

Facebreaker marauder with IB and stuff seems like a great first bot build.

Now who is super bored and super nice and wants to help me tomorrow or over the weekend set up the bot and stuff

- Puncture + PhysDamage + Crit% + CritDmg% for Single Target
- Grace + HoI + HoA + Reduced mana for Auras
+ A lot of movespeed

There's an alternative to the Single Target rotation, the forum post explain it very well.

You level with a Harp & Tabula (optional) as deductabel said, and as soon as you reach 53/54 Infractem is a must have (TS piercing)

Your dps scale with your gear + few offensive nodes after level 56. @56 you should be at around 1250-1500 tooltip dps avg.

I just started my own TS ranger a couple days ago, have yet to use EB on it though. I'm wondering though how you handle mana with that bow when botting if you "cannot leech"?

Mana on Kill, Mana on Hit. On hit & On Kill is not "Leech" iirc, needs confirmation tho. Well, when my bot is running and hits, I see my mana going up each time it hits a target so I guess it's working as intented

The most important things to note :
- You take the +X% Life recovered from flasks and faster flask recharging nodes, so basically you'll have constant flask usage, since you cannot "Leech"
- You take the life/mana on kill nodes in your passive, should handle the issue.

The idea is to hit less, crit more. that's why the build is oriented crit%/critdmg% less you hit, less mana you need, and more you recover (more kills = more mana)

As soon as you reach the perfect mana pool (~ 50-60 mana not reserved) you can run the 3 auras, before that, just run HoA + Hatred

Your passive route is very nice, very DPS oriented tho, mine is more about survivability (atziri farmer) and should be better for botting (max ms% + survivability + nice clearspeed), but this is also a good one, chose wisely !

And you're starting from shadow, so you have more dps at start, might be interesting to merge both so you have a better start for leveling.

Fair enough! More survivability would more than likely definitely be better for botting. This is the one I used for my personal self played TS and im rather enjoying it. Ofc im using maligoro's instead of acuity because my blood definitely isn't that rich

Anyway can't wait to get started on botting POE and making me some $$$

The build also started from shadow btw but I went ranger
