What are some different ways to Sell off your Gold. Methods and tactics

I've been gathering for months now just as a hobby. Selling off bars and herbs or turning them into crafts to reduce AH floods. as I do this more and more I am becoming more curious about how to setup a gold x-action. i have several questions

1. I'm wondering about the different methods of find a buyer (either thru a Website or private buyer). What are the options there?

2. How does the trade go down in game? (ei. how is it done via G Bank, sacrificial Vanilla toon, AH sales).. i understand the basics, those are obvious. i want to know the specifics step by step.. like how much to x-fer from toon to toon, or g-bank to g-bank, if laundering the gold from several toons/accounts is viable. ect)

3. What is the Safest way to get your cash?

4. Most important... How do you NOT GET BANNED?

People with exp in these matters please post. I especially want to know about safe quantities of gold, things NOT to do, and otherwise good tactics to adhere to.

I can't say I am the most experienced as I have only sold about 40k gold to Asian websites but I will contribute what I can.

The general consensus on the best way to get money from one account to another (that you own) is the guild bank method. This is where the character with the money on it makes a guild and making sure that you get the other person to sign the charter from the start (I feel this is safer). From there you put the money into the Gbank. You then promote the vanilla toon which you want the money on to the GM of the guild.

The vanilla toon then withdraws the money and disbands the guild.

This would be the best method possibly to my knowledge. If you have a private buyer and any trading options are available it is probably the best technique. Though in my experience selling to Asian buyer's they generally want to do the method there way which may involve face to face.

In terms of how much is a good amount to transfer at a time I personally feel no more then 10k at a time though I may be over cautious in this matter.

In terms of finding a private buyer you may want to post on forums where you are able to post a thread that you are selling on certain servers etc. If you choose to sell to Asian's you need to look around for ones that are buying on your server.

Look at all the gold buying websites, add them to msn, when selling gold make it to an auction and let each bid higher. I sold gold for 2.6$ though the first offer was 2.0

Your selling for 2.6??!?!

Are you selling to private buyers or chinese?
 
offgamers was buying for $3 few days ago, I'd rather sell to my buyers for that much anyway

Their gold status is full now, do you have any other websites that will buy for 2.0 up? gold4sell only offer 1.6.............

I actually looked around to see if i could niggle some prices up. I got the original offers from all at a price of a 2.80/k. I then said to one that such and such offered me 2.00. They then offered me 2.01. I went back to another one and said bla bla offered me 2.10 it then went on until I could not get the price any higher and it settle at 2.11. I know these sellers were legit as well since I have sold to them in the past.

Then you're selling to the wrong people.

As far as the best way to manage your gold (a few accts per server) -- I have written this guide before. Guys, use the search function and actually look for 5 mins instead of "oh its not on the first search thread, i'll make another useless thread"

I used to have the top viewed thread before I asked for it to be deleted b/c too many idiots were driving the price down

Is the server transfer cap 20k gold? and will that transfer cap be going up with the 1 mil g cap per toon in cata?
 
Why do people keep making threads like these? I thought it was against the rules to list gold selling sites.
