What an Asshole GM

Here is my response :)

Greetings,

I am Senior Game Master Traeslin, or Josh, whichever you prefer! I wanted to get back to you about you recent account action disputes. I feel like there has been some miscommunication and some misunderstandings. Hopefully this will clear it up.

First and foremost, the closures of these accounts are not up for debate. We reviewed the accounts multiple times by multiple reps; each has verified that the action on the account is valid and will stand. I did take the liberty of looking at it again (not something we generally do), and the actions on the account are solid.

Using any kind of program or modification which automates any part of the game is a violation of the Terms of Use. Also, the account holder is ultimately responsible of the actions taken on the account. Even if you did not have access to the account at the time, the account closure will stand. Securing the computer the game is being run on to ensure that remote access does not happen is on the account owner.

In the end regardless of what program was running, whether or not you as the account holder were aware, or what other circumstances may have gone into it; our investigations show that this account was in violation of our policies. As such, it was closed. I do understand that this is not what you wanted, nor really what any player would want, but we will not remove the closures. We are not required to provide any information as to the specifics of the investigation or what was done on the account. Doing so would only increase the likelyhood of players using that information to get around our methods of detection.

If you have questions about the Terms of Use and what they they entale, they can be found here: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/wow_tou.html

We consider this matter closed. We will not be providing any additional responses about this issue. Understand that while we appreciate your fervor, these account closures will stand regardless of any issues that may have existed on your system at the time.

Best regards,

Joshua W.

That GM deserves a pay raise

You expect them to go above and beyond in servicing you while you break the rules? What a pompous ass you are. You don't deserve your account back. That final post doesn't say anything new. It's the same response with a whole lot of unnecessary words for the same result. Start anew and understand the rules of engagement before you go to war.

It is always funny to see people rage when they were in fact doing something they should not have been. Sadly it is the American way, so many people feel they are entitled to break rules without consequence. They just claim a disorder or something rather than admit wrong.

Well, to add to this. I'll give my history. I had 1 account banned for botting. Blizzard posted the deal for 30$ for all expansions, I got two other accounts, botted on them both, they both got caught and banned. I decided I was done botting. I then created a whole new account, didn't bot at all, wouldn't even go to a website that mentioned the word "bot" and that account was just banned last night.

I'm not going to email and appeal, but rather call them. I was manually farming a lot of cloth and I'm guessing that is why they banned?

But if i'm not legimately botting and sure, maybe they did look at my IP and see I botted before on a whole other account, but I think if I'm not botting on this new account, never have, it shouldn't be banned. I believe its just a player report or something because i'm farming cloth and it looks suspicious.. they then look at my IP and see, and dont even second guess on banning.

Oh god, lets use this as an excuse to hop on our soap box and complain about america, here we go.....
