We've release TankLeader for 9.13

ok guys, ENSK is working now. why dont you write something here? i was in worry you dont work on TL anymore. The tank keeps drowning on ERLENBERG, from the southside jumps from the bridge. On malinovka the tank drives from southside into a building and gets stuck. if you want LOGs or REPLAYS then PM me.

btw: why am i the only one who provides logs? guys you have to give feedback to the developers!
 
We've updated the meshes last night. The building stucks should be gone for good from what we can tell. Please let me know if you're still having issues with tanks trying to drive through buildings.

Again, we apologise for the troubles this has caused. We're applying these updates to the navigation as we progress, thanks to your feedback and screenshots we've been able to pin down the majority of issues. Thank you all for the feedback.

You are saying if I tried it a few minutes ago it should be working? It doesn't look like I downloaded any sort of update and it still runs into anything, mountain climbs etc..
 
I have used Tankleader right at the start to farm me 50 million credits, then I stopped. After a long more than a year pause I'm running 2.1.430.251 now for the last 5 days. There is practically no map which runs flawlessly. Bot is driving against mountains, hills, rocks, buidlings, drowns itself and just get stuck after about 20 seconds after the maps starts. It even does not recognize that it is not moving, just doing full throttle against any obstacle saying "Moving to complete objective". Also when tank is destroyed it just keeps on aiming quite often without recognizing that tank is busted. If you are lucky your tank will be destroyed so nobody sees you are simply driving against an obstacle. If you are very unlucky you will survive as the last one just a small distance away from the start point with your face showing to a wall/rock/hill. Currently I would not call it a bot but an automatic match starter because besides of that nothing is working as intended.

Don't get me wrong, I'm using this piece of software to make me some credits, I give a sh*t about WN8, my account or whatever. But I guess if you are used to bots like HonorBuddy or Demonbuddy this experience is just like a slap in your face :D

Same question here: What does "We've updated the meshes last night" mean? There is no new client so are those changes done in the cloud? Anyway there is no difference in the bots behaviour, still dumb as bread.
 
I dont see any update either.... where is it and how can we update TL?

Sorry I should've elaborated a bit more. Most of the updating we're doing right now is on the server's end, meaning the actual TL client itself doesn't need to be updated. As far as I can tell, the changes we applied should be effective when you last used the bot. We'll have another look at it to ensure that the latest version of the navigational data is actually present and being used on the server.

We realize that compared to HB and DB, TL is really not in a very good spot right now. We're committed to fixing that however, and as said before, have also hired a new developer to help us get this project back on the road and working like it should.

If it was pushed through I would take another look at it because I let it run three times today and if anyone doesn't watch it they are gonna get banned with this.

Ok, thx for the insights. I will monitor the next days and will report if there is any change in TL riding the maps.
 
Tried this morning. Bot is horrible. Every game it simply drives towards enemy goal, never stops or waits for cover, then sits in open targets and shoots then promptly is killed. VERY obvious its not even a BAD real player.

Tankleader SHOULD BE pulled from sale if this is the extent, or beta and people play at own risk.

Having purchased almost every other game bot here this one makes you guys look very poor. Not being rude or upset, my honest consumer opinion about the professionalism of TL.

Did run it over the weekend for many hours. Only on City Maps I could spot an improvement, it did not get stuck right at the start into buildings. But on desert/wood/mountain maps it insists on driving through rocks and obstacles. So looking forward on any updates soon.

Yesterday we've updated the servers to address a bug that would cause the bot to wrongly judge where obstacles are. We're continuing to apply fixes whenever we get them, but this one should actually be noticeable already.

Ok I will test it now then.
 
There is no way that you test this before releasing or else I am just having bad luck. First game I played I had to take over because it tried climbing a mountain, doesn't move the cannon at all, stops to rotate, doesn't face tanks, doesn't get itself unstuck. I ended up buying another bot that does everything right and was a billion times cheaper..

We do test them before releasing, but the navigation currently has more issues than I have hairs on my head, and we have to address those all individually.
 
We've just updated the navigation server again with an update that will fix an issue where the bot would generate paths using the wrong planes of the map, which caused it to generate paths through buildings and rocks.
