The idea was if you're botting The Harvest, it's to kill those mini-bosses, as the last boss would wreck the bot anyways.
If you look at the mechanic they are using for the area transitions (dynamic blockages), it's a lot different than the other blockages in the game so far, so in order to be able to "skip" bosses, extra logic is needed in the explorer to prune all the exploration nodes around the boss area, as otherwise it looks like a normal area reachable. Not doing the bosses would result in the bot getting stuck at that location and it'd always want to go and try to explore the boss room.
