Do you really want a daily announcement of "we're still discussing things", because that's the extent of public information we can give out in situations like this.
Even if Bossland told me I could talk about all technical issues and ideas we have, do you really want me to give GGG an exact roadmap of all the things they've not actually caught on to yet?
That's why things are vague in times like these and why we only post updates when there's something to update users on. Other than letting people know about patch progress on expansions, which can't really hurt us in any way, a lot of behind the scenes stuff is just not talked about, but that's the way things have always been. We do understand people are frustrated and just want to bot, even if it carries high risk, but there's a lot for us to talk about right now, so it's going to take time. We've consistently done things our way though, so this shouldn't be a surprise.
It's like every expansion with big downtime, people always riot for a buggy version that only does maps, and we explain time and time again why this isn't possible. This situation is different, but right now there's a lot of things we have to talk about, and I use the world "talk" as a generic action. We don't just sit around all day and flip a coin to decide if we should do something or not, things are always moving behind the scenes, but users don't/can't really know.
We are really sorry for the incontinence though, it would be nice if there wasn't a banwave, and people could still be happily botting, but that's just not the way things turned out.
