I am a real newbie to botting. But I worked as a professional-database-administrator and -programmer for years! I am used to handle and to reasearch patterns within billions(!!) of records and Terrabytes of Data!
For a few minutes, calm dawn and lay beside the detail questions, of all the insders stuff ... what kind of profiles you use or not, what kind of botting you use or how for many hours ... Everybody of you know about this 10 times better than all these paranoid kids crying for their pocket-money, and 100 times better than me.
I (AND I ABSOLUTELY KNOW, THAT I AM NOT SPEAKING FOR THE MOST OF YOU) want to bot, because I want to play with my 2 kids and I want to be independent from that terrible service-incompetent companies like mmoga.com or euwowgold. ... and so on with their lame farmers, botting 24/7 without using brain. Everyone, who baught some gold more than once in a lifetime, know, what I am talking about. And of course in the last weeks it is terrilbe for ALL. Terrible for the farmers, the botters, the traders, the gold-buying-customers.
Blizzard has obviosly nothing to do! SO: OPEN TICKETS, KEEP Blizzard-SUPPORTERS BUSY!!! ;-) *knowing none will do it* ;-))
It is as EVERYTHERE IN REAL LIFE. Earning money without doing almost anything won't work in a long run. It can be ok, for a some days, or if you are entering the ship right place, right time. But, you can spin it as you want: At least you have to activate your brain. And of course there is a risk. But hey, as in real-life. Ban waves come, bane waves go!! I could tell you something about X-Box-360-bans ... Be sure, in one, two, three weeks or even months we all lough about it. And we tell our buddys: "Hey, do you remember spring 2013 ... the big ban wave?" But I know, for those of you who a are concentrating on only one thing, it is hard.
But hey, that is business. If you are selling things on a christmas-market you have to consider, what are you doing in the summer. Going to Mallorca or Ibizza or ... And so, if WoW-Botting sucks right now ... don't know, go on hacking Wiis, set up X-Boxes-360, setup Nintendo-[3]DSi with flash-cards, or do whatever you want. A business-men, who is not thinking about: "Hey, what if some shit happens" is a fool.
In Germany as a captial-Company like GmbH, Ltd., AG (Inc.) the chairman(s) risks their/his complete own private capital (including house, car, ...) if he did not write down a so called "Risk-Management-Plan"!!
He can even (_theoreticaly_) get into prison, if he missed this excercise!!! But well, we are getting off-topic ... ;-)
Here I want and I am capable to tell you something about the legal and more "meta-physics" aspects,
1.) Of course Blizzard is _able_ to detect the process of honorbody or anything else - it dosn't matter, if you rename the .exe-file or not. Believe me, they _could_ detect, AND ....
2.) You agree to the ToS (Term of Service) ... BUT in Europe, esp. in Germany these (AGB) are legaly void/ineffective.
3.) ... BUT ...: If Blizzard violate against the highest court-decison of not to be allowed to scan your computers RAM outside the memory of WoW+AddOns, they will be hardly punished!! So hard, that they have to pay 250.000 EUR for EACH SINGLE violation, otherwise their chairmans (in Germany and also in UK I guess) can get arrested by german "court's marshalls" for 3 to 6 months.
And believe me honestly, they not only won't give bossland that chance!! Bliizard responsible chairmens are not stupid nor crazy. They do not want to be in prison, even for one night. And be sure, they will come into arrest, if the court's marshall is showing them executable-court's-payment-demand with an amount of multiple times of 250.000 EUR!! The won't risk it!! ;-) They are not so stupid as "Uli Hoene?", the german FC-Bayern-Soccer-Team-Manager!!!
4.) I think, or let say "I guess", that bosslands experts of course will examine, and research time by time, if Blizzard will follow or violate the court's sentence ...
In a summary: Blizzard won't detect any Bots by just scanning RAM - fact!!!
In a summery: They can scan every bot, just by changing the routines and the parameters. Every single step can wrote down to a database and can be queried!!
As I mentioned before, I worked as a Database-Administrator for Companies like McDonalds Europe and I can tell you, that we queried even TONS of Data, more data than the most of you can ever imagine!! Every single sold cup of Coca-Cola or every burger in every tiny store all over Europe every day, for the last 10 years (in US the same shit).
Can you imagine how simple it is for an even appropirate skilled Datawarehouse-Specialist to research a PROFILE or a Standard-profiled-BOT. I tell you, for them it took them max. an hour. They go to the coffe-break and the have an idea like: "Hey, what about ... scanning the nodes", Or the marketing-leader in the weekly staff-meeting tell them: "Hey, our licence-sell is going down. Any ideas from the tech-dept.?" And they IT-dept.-team-leader says: "Hmmm ... I'll ask my guys for any ideas about decreasing the number of bots a little bit" ... and then this Twink goes to his programming-slaves. And one of them says: "Hey, our botting-friends are all using Kicks-profiles ..." And the Blizzard-IT-dept.-leading-Twink commands him: "Ok, start to castrate 80 % of them, by fighting against that script."
That will happen? (Or in this what has happened?) The programmer and the Datawarehouse-Specialist loaded down that script and check out carefully, what the script does, what nodes are visited and so on ...
After that, they ask another team to support them and to fill the warehouse with the neccassary informations ... triggers will be written for that, like "if a char is running over node x;y = 12,3456;34,5678 AND over node 12,3467;34;5689 -> write record with account-data into table "bot-canditates" ... and so one.
I tell you, as Apologizer and other buddys here told you: If they want, they can detect a specific PROFILE or BOTTING-TYPE as simple as 1, 2, 3!!
It is not the Bot itself, they detect. It is the profile and a typical behaivor!!
Even for me - I told you, that I am real newbie - it is clear like crystal-water!!
And I hope, that all the lazy, stupid, script-kiddies will be banned perm, so that they can laern a serious job, BEFORE they start earning money, by doing at least nothing.
Well, I have simple speech - because I do not bot for making money; just to save money and don't need buy WoW-gold by this awfull terrible Chinese-Gold-traders.
