If you are actually running GATHERBUDDY 10-15 hours per day and have never been banned, than either you are THE luckiest person on the planet or I don't believe you.

I wanted to way in on this thread to help people understand whats going on. Firstly Hb staff have said many times over that it is not safe to bot for more than a few hours on GB2. They have also said that u cant just bot nodes and do nothing else. U need to be more human, ie pvp, raids, have friends and do other activities within wow. GB2 is not detectable. If it was then i would have 30 thousand people letting me know.
I have many many private profile users, out of them all 1 had been banned. He was botting 10 hours+ a day.
As far as im aware only a couple people have been banned using my public profiles, But i have warned ppl many times in my threads not to bot every day constantly or u WILL be banned since my NPH are stupidly high and thus blizz will see 200NPH for 10 hours+ and bam banned.

WoW has lost many millions of paid subsribers lately, This has a 2 prong effect. firstly they have more staff available to deal with bots since they arnt working on other things, secondly they need more money so hence they start banning people knowing that a lot will resubscribe giving them more money.

Its how u bot that gets u banned not the bot, if it was the bot we would all be banned. To circumvent bans atm. only bot for 2 hours a day per acc and use PB to craft so that u can make more gold since botting for 2 hours isnt that great for making gold, But if u have jc/alch then that 2 hours botting can quadriple profiits.
Otherwise u can have a few accs and rotate them out of the game every 2 hours untill all have had thier daily 2 hour bot, then stop till next day.

bullshit, there are people that have been banned with in hours of botting on a brand new accounts. Questing, dungeons. Read more topics.
 
you will all get banned suckers dont you understand that. Blizz allready have detect mechanisum and the ppl who says "bot safety and some shit like that is a idiots with no eyes. I am sick of this i read this forum every day from the beginin of bans and you have to be brain dead if you wasnt understand that. And i got 6/11 banned. Still have 5 wow acc but wont let them farm.

Hi, if u just look to users\All Users\Blizard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache\ folder, u will find there a lot of sub folders, some contain files with .auth extention, that files is upx archived exe files. Why bliz hide some renamed exe files in cache folder. One person told me, he did analized one of it, and it have such api functions as GlobalMemoryStatus, GetDiskFreeSpaceExA, GetCurrentProcessId, GetCurrentThreadId, GetProcessHeap. That can be just ordinary battlenet auth related files, but still why to hide it. May be its just a paranoia, i dont know.

So...your theory is that blizzard can detect HB, but rather than ban all users they're banning some and letting the rest go? Highly unlikely its HB itself they're detecting, but that doesn't mean they haven't gotten better at detecting bot-like behavior. If so, short of someone at blizzard admitting it, how would anyone really know that's the case?

On a different note, I'm not sure how your situation changes if the HB team did make the post you want. Whats going to be different for you?
 
To the people "demanding explanation" ... Seriously. Are you 12? You paid money to buy a cheating program. And now you are hulk raging bc you got caught? Say the developers give you an explanation, will you accept it and move on, or continue to "demand justice"?

Just because an account is fresh does not mean its ban chance is 0%.
Reading all this seriously makes me laugh. We all made a choice to cheat, a lot of us will get caught. That is a fact of ...well almost everything in life. If the developers are really hiding shit so what? What are you going to do about it? What can you do about it? You want them to refund you? Smh
 
Summary of this thread and all of the rest like it... UMADBRO?

It has been said many: times botting is a risk. Every time you start botting you accept the possibility of losing your account(s). It has also been said recently and repeatedly every time bliz gets a little bit more proactive when it comes to bots... HB is not detectable at a system level or there would be a lot more ban reports. It is and always has been easy to detect the bot visually. As a player I saw bots everywhere. As a botter that has watched my own bot I see many many more everywhere. I can often identify every type of bot including lazyraider. There is no way for a machine to be completely human at this point.

It could be as simple as the GMs having too much time on their hands and checking in on players in areas known to have more bots or accounts that have passed certain thresholds. Perhaps they changed the autoban detection parameters. Who knows? There are more bans than usual which means if you have a tinfoil hat you should know to take a break until it slows down.

If bliz were to pay me enough I can think of numerous ways to detect the bot. I'm sure if they were motivated enough they could shut down 80% of botting overnight as they did in diablo 3 last year.

The thing is, people are used to have a ban free experience.

Now Blizz stepped up their game and maybe made botting for $$ nonviable and now therefore a shitstorm breaks loose.

wow botters arent ban proof in any way, so yeah, cry cry cry.
 
Maybe to all of you who do not read the forum, here are 2 posts that you should read:
Chat Auxilium1989 with a GM (GM?s answer): " Alrighty. So there's not a lot of information about the situation that I can actually provide. It appears that it was an automated system that detected a false positive, which is why the account was reinstated.
We have plenty of systems in place to protect the well-being of the game.

Or to make it short: the bot is NOT detectable, BUT Blizzard got new Scripts to either track waypoints that are used in most profiles and/or scripts that give your account a BOT-positive when matching certain criteria, such as 100 auctions+, farmed over 200 nodes, playing for more than 15 hours, no quests, BGs or Raids since x days, no achievement since x days etc (these are just examples HOW Blizz scripts might be). Additionally there are the player reports that might be lowered for auto ban accounts... So HB is not detectable, but botting is and there is NO SMART botting anymore.
 
Are you really believing in undetectable thing? You should open your eyes, If you see Honorbuddy.exe on your process list, it is sure that Blizzard is seeing that too, there is 1 thing that blocks getting ban of all of us, it is : Blizzard gaining money from us, that is so simple, if they wanted to block bots, it was really and really easy to do that,

As written MANY times in this forum: IF HB would be detectable, all Users would get a Ban when starting HB! So think about my post, it says that Botting is detectable and it seems Blizz has installed new progs scripts etc to give a BOT-POSITIVE to bot accounts a lot faster than it was before April 2013. I agree that they can detect the Bot when scanning the RAM, but Blizz will NOT scan all RAMS. They got new tools and all these bans are the result of these new tools. I opened my eyes already fellow, and believe it or not.. I even washed my face!
 
You are demanding an explanation? Here it is: botting as we know it before is OVER! Face it!
To make a business out of botting is definetly done.
And to all the people telling us: "you have to bot smart!", try it - the ban is coming - no matter how you bot smart (laughable, bot smart, what a bullshit)!
 
making money out of this shit is done, they decided to stop it and they did it.
