WD any good for botting?

Hey!

Was wandering if witch doctor can come close to a barb or a monk in terms of xp and more or less gf. I want to bot in mp0-1 so I am looking to see if they can handle it without dying to much, I am not gonna bot for the gold just for the paragon and items.

well, WD is not as good as Barb/Monk, but he is pretty cheap to equip and I can confirm that at full MF/GF he makes around 550 GPH.

Pretty sure that a WD doesn't do even 500 GPH.

Of course, you can go ahead and waste your time/gold to get a WD to Level 60 and then regret.

Common sense tells you that WD are crap for botting since the author of Trinity pushes out fixes/upgrades mostly for Barbs/Monks at top priority.

I always wanted to know the best possible method there is. So, i decided to try all chars and i did(save for DH). Turns out wd is much worse than monk/barb/wiz(in that order) for the same worth of eq ofc.

Also, within the upcoming patch there's got to be some viable buffs to monk's spirit spender (aka main dps) skills, so i reckon monk is going to still be the best possible farm char for the moneys worth after 1.0.7

Agreed. WD is the worst. Even a DH is better.

There are too many vile/malicious forumers encouraging DB newbies to bot up a WD, while hiding the fact that Barbs and Monks are so efficient and profitable so that the newbies will waste more time, get lesser GPH and IPH.
 
you guys just dont know how to do it i bot 2 wds they never die and do 30m 500k /hr with 20 pick up radius so it never stops to pick up gold and gets all of the gold on the screen

Well, that is not the point.
He was asking if you can bot with WD and yes you can.
I had a DH for item farming and THAT is the worst. My WD runs at MP1 with medicore gear and he gets >500 GPH at Para 80.
If you can chose what to start with I would agree in Barb/Monk, but I got my WD from a friend and since he was equipped and already Para35 I tried.

I beg to differ, i am pretty sure i know how to do it. It is not just the pick up raduis,WD just lacks the dps to be able to hunt champions. If you put enough damage into a doctor, it suddenly lacks survivability. Keep in mind almost any char can faceroll mp0. Have you tried WD at mp2-3-4? We are not talking gold per hour farm, we are talking strictly item drop(champion hunting). I personally use Tinn's new long profile and i am sure no doctor will ever reach the IPH my swap monk does in mp4-5. Only thing i did not try, tho, is the exploding zombie dogs build, but it is too damn expensive anyway.

p.s. But anyway, yes of course you can use doctor even a DH to farm. Just monk and barb are much better for the same eq price in gold. So if you start a new char, i strongly advice you to be a monk (or barb, but i like monk better;p )

well your input is correct but the op asked aboutmp0-1 and for champ farming my wd with 70k base dps can 3 hit and champ pack and i dont do zombie dogs build
 
Yupp, if you want to bot on higher tiers the WD is no match to a monk or barb.
but the question was if he is useful on botting on MP0, MP1 and in this case the answer would be: yes.
But anyway if you start a new char I?d rather take a Monk :)
 
True. I agree with the opinion, that wd can bot low mp; i used to bot with wd up untill plvl 80, then i rerolled that acc to a monk. It was decent at mp0/1, but ww barb is still better at mp0/1 (IPH wise) for the same amount of gold spent on it.

The WD guide is inefficient with public Trinity builds. Guide works if you play by HAND.
So unless you write your own combat routine, Barbs and Monks are better.

Won't stop you guys from rolling WD. :p

But just don't go crying in the Trinity and combat routine subforum when your WD bot doesn't work.:eek::rolleyes:

This will at least take attention off the Barb and Monk bots when the WD routines malfunctions.

GPH and IPH are inflated due to Trinity bugs:

what build you use?
 
Maybe stats are inflated will see tomorrow. Ill start in the morning after maintenance.

Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III
One of the wd gets better stats with zombie dogs (life link) instead of Horrify-Stalker dont know rly why, maybe because of the bug mentioned above.

With fixed summons and better zombie bears use im sure they would farm even better.

On the other hand i think a monk is the best class for botting and wd is 2nd for people with low budget. Before 18-12 i was running 3 monks and 4 barbs.
