OK so AH's gone..
Gold and leg's are account bound...
But what's to stop me from making a group of my 2 bots and charging people to be carried and purchase drops that are tradeable between members for 2 hours? Sure it would make more sense now to have all 3 be the same class.. but still...
Just thinking about this, wondering what everyone else had to say or contribute :D

How can you know if gold is still BoA in RoS if it's not out yet?

Gold can no longer be traded between players as of the 2.0.1 patch. You also can't drop it on the ground. As soon as the AH goes down (or has it already? haven't check today), it's effectively account bound.

Well, there is no telling if with RoS lunch they won't give us back the ability to trade gold.
I guess we shall see.

There's a blue post somewhere saying that gold will never be tradeable again, though they may reverse their stance on legendaries on other items at some point.

So far the only ways I see you could make money are:
- account selling.
- leveling services.
- using your gold to upgrade or modify things on other peoples accounts (if this will even be possible).
- selling runs through certain areas/instances due to high difficulty or items needed to unlock those areas.
- selling any unbinding items that can be salvaged into materials always in demand.

I've been considering multiboxing 4 chars at a time, together.. while using a 'trickle down loot system' where i gear them one at a time, with 4x the loot drop chances...

You can change a battle tag ONE time in it's existence, so I may sell fully geared characters- Then I'd just ask the seller to pay in advance, give me the new battle tag he'd like to use, and change it.. Give them access to the throwaway gmail account and the battlenet account I used to make it..

Again- in theory.... Who knows if anyone is even willing to pay for decked out chars in RoS.. Streamers might.

Edit: I've been talking with a buddy of mine on whether it's possible to develop a 'lootwhore' plugin for this exact scenario.. Meaning have 3 characters in the party pick up legendaries, blacklist them temporarily, and drop them for the lootwhore to pick up.. I don't know if this is possible, but if used in conjunction with rrix's simplefollow plugin, it would be amazing for gearing up fresh 60s.

I have botted 24-7on two different accounts for the past 11 months. Watch me purchase reaper of souls and get banned instantly... RNG

No need to trickle down. I got 4 fresh keys and run my bots in a team. As soon as you get a +element type% damage item, that char can spec/gear that damage type, and give other chars different types. I've got 4 mages going now and they are cold/arcane/lightning/fire. Shifting +skills and element type legendaries among them got them geared out very quickly.

D3 botting for profit is gone for a long time...

noone will pay to get "carried" by bots for possible legendary drops, to much risk for a non predictable outcome.

there is no point/possibility on "upgrading" other peoples stuff.

i got all that explained allready in a similar thread.

but the AH and/or tradable legendaries will be back sometime:

people will realize that selffound is just retarded, if you miss a legendary necessary for your desired specc after 3 months of farming, it will let you turn away from the game, not even talking about the frustration of "after work" players only able to play the game 1 or 2 hours a day or maybe a week, they will need "years" to get what they want/need. and these people are the majority of players, so prepare for the casual shitstorm soon, after fulltime players and streamers made blizzard think diablo was pay2win and need a selffound only mode to become attractive!

I'm glad so many are discouraged about making money in d3. Less competition for those of us with a less pessimistic outlook. Win win.

You can still sell "Random legendaries" If you wanted too, by getting a group of 3x wiz/barb/monk etc etc and selling a spot for Malthael.

I am so glad many are still searching for the sangreal of moneymaking in D3 and stay away from the games where money can be made!

so my best wishes to all of you, and i may cite obama for all of you: "yes, we can!"

especially if i see things like:

- using your gold to upgrade or modify things on other peoples accounts (if this will even be possible).
- selling runs through certain areas/instances due to high difficulty or items needed to unlock those areas.
- selling any unbinding items that can be salvaged into materials always in demand.

i know where peoples knowledge about the game comes from...

so 1 yellow item grants 1 yellow craft mat, small calcualtion:

current bank + inventory can hold 145 yellow items (2 squares of size)
lets say blizzard doubles the space (what it looks like), then we have 290 items
tears were sold for an average of 1500 gold (even lower before the pre ros patches)

lets triple the possible amount of gold a yellow craft mat will be theoreticaly worth, lets even say 5000g

now we gained 300 items x 5000 gold = 1.500.000 gold for a full stash + inventory of items
gold was worth after the hype 5 $/€ for 50.000.000 on peaks, which will decrease in worth due to the increased goldgain in RoS, but hey we keep that pricelevel for this calculation aswell, less pessimistic you know ;)

so you just made 0,15 $/€ with a full inventory + bank of items, if you find a customer...

yep big money can be made, now i also wonder why so many people are discouraged about moneymaking in D3.

levelingservice, accountselling... i wish you lots of fun if you get the first complaints about banned or locked accounts from customers, or even the risk of getting sued and all that for just some bucks!

So, sorry if i can not see your win/win situation...
