Does anyone have a link that proves it's illegal for them to read our ram? It is a fact that the eula says we give them the right to in the "Consent to Monitor" section.
I remember this kicking up a fuss a year, or so, back. I believe that the access is limited only to areas of RAM that are used by the game.
But I do agree that this does suggest otherwise:
"WHEN RUNNING, THE GAME MAY MONITOR YOUR COMPUTER'S RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) AND/OR CPU PROCESSES FOR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH WORLD OF WARCRAFT."
However, EULA + TOS cannot override the law in any respect and it's debatable whether this complies with the Human Rights Act... although this is Blizzard we are talking about
Blizzard is not allowed to check running processed, they won't ban you by searching for hb.exe
Blizzard won't waste his time to check for IP, MAC adress and such blabla, they just respond to player reports, nothing more.
the main thing is Honorbuddy and Gatherbuddy are safe and undetected, in the invent of a detection, EVERYONE logged in will be tossed off the bot, to protect everyone.
if you want the FACTS about warden, Wikipedia has a pretty decent article. but as for anything beyond that, "How does blizzard ban" and "what blizzard is looking for serverside" are just unknown, unknowns (shit that we dont know, that we dont know) theres no use speculating because it just leads to a lot of misinformation where less educated users take as fact and then spread, and thats never a good thing.
