I don't understand why that's a big deal? I get that you shouldn't post 50 stacks of something you farmed all at once, but on my main account which I don't bot on, I have over 1000 auctions at any given time (I'm a gold maker)...So when people say to not post too many auctions, it confuses me.

Never had a real issue with that, farming accounts still last for months, with over 400 auctions per day, also i started making gold by selling stuff on the AH, always have been over 150 auctions, with alchemy only, and when inscription was introduced I was at over 300 auctions, the only problem might be reports from other players ...

its just a general rule to lessen exposure. on a dead realm, it looks very suspicious to post 100 stacks of ore every day. on a medium realm, yeah,, you might have 2-3 people doing it. on a full realm, you got 10 people posting that many stacks. you can get lost in the mess. but lets see how mad the little guy who posts 10 stacks gets when you come and undercut him with 150 stacks.

first thing goes through his head is 'damn botter, i should report that scumbag'

everyone has their story about how they post, how they bot, how they handle people in-game. just do what feels good, and if you get banned, do it different till you find the process that works best for you.

above all, dont discount anyones experiences just because they havent happened to you. you might be smart to learn from others mistakes.

Lil Story.

There is a botter on my realm, that spends at least 10hr a day in the auctionhouse. Making hell a lot of gold. Last time I cecked he had 50 000 000g in his statistics. I know he`s a botter and he uses the HB AH Bot, because my char uses the same waypaths^^

Anyhow, I am watching him for around 1 year now.

My guildmates also noticed him and talked about it on TS. They all reportet him for ah botting after watching him for 1h and whispering him with no response. Ofc I didn`t and I didn`t tell them that I know he`s a botter

I started selling the same stuff as he did and there were 5 other players doing the same. They all whispered me to check if I am a bot. Luckyly I did everything by hand, because I was still setting up my programs so i started to chat with them.

They also told me that that guy is a botter and I should ignore him, because it makes no sence to undercut him, that would just drop the prices. They also told me I should report him, they are reporting him every day for months now but nothing happens.

Another thing, I have at least 400+ auctions a day. But I also buy stuff from the ah. I think it makes a big difference if you only sell "New" stuff or if you buy and sell stuff.

I think the best way is to delet the bank char all one or two month.

If you create a new bankchar every month, (probably you use thrre a month) nobody will detect you.

Dont flood the Ah. Post it in little ammounts all 2-4 hours.

Thats a safe way...

I am botting for 3 years with posting to the ah, withaout any ban. my farmers work 6-10h per day 6/7 days a week.

Ok first, the "goblins" can easily observe your posting patterns and the number of items you post a day using the TSM addon. If they feel you are a bot from observing your posting patterns, they will report you to get rid of the competition, (either that or buy from you if you are crazy undercutting).

Second, why would you want to post 100 stacks at a time, it just crashes the market and encourages massive undercutting, just post 20 at a reasonable price, then come back 2 hrs later (or set HB relog to) and post another 20. This is so easy to set up in both Salesman and Auctionbuddy, I don't know why you wouldn't.

I've AH botting 3 realms now for around a month, cycling between them, with up to half a million in AH value up at any 1 time, but a real variety up. I do get the odd whisper, but not to ask if I'm a bot, mainly people wanting to do deals on transmog stuff I have up. No major probs apart from that.

I'd also recommend botting in Undercity for horde (nice and quiet, easy access to mail and gbank), and Shattrath for alliance (same as b4), all other ally locations can be a little busy and the pathing can look suspicious after a while.

For me this is hard to believe as technically this guy would be banned in no time. So either he isn't botting materials or he has been banned and probably changed the accounts already or maybe he really only uses the ah bot. Cause normally if that many people know someone is undercutting them all the time they instantly write ticket and report people which results in a very fast ban.

I saw a lot of people hardcore ah'ing through the day, running between ah and mailbox every few minutes, undercutting everyone and everything and they didn't even last a week.

Just believe me :-) and i am sure its his main account because i he one was in a soo hc raid with a buddy of mine, has the legendary cloak, titles and stuff like that.

That is exactly how it works, blizzard does not do shit againt AH bots, had lots of whispers where they said they are going to report me, they ran for months.

First, actually the TSM addon doesn't give posting patterns. The undermine journal used to, but they shut down a couple months ago. I actually have the TSM addon and the application myself because I am a "goblin"

Second, I never stated that I want or even would post 100 stacks of a single item at once. I know that's a stupid idea.

Thank you for the recommendation for the city to run AH bot in though :)

It went down not long after I started gold making. Well, sorta. I started gold making and then didn't have much internet access for about 5 months and in that 5 months, they shut down. They are currently working on bringing the site back though :) But it's not going to have all the features. They couldn't afford all of the servers it took to keep it up.

TUJ is actually back up now :)

I don't like wowuction. The only thing I use it for is in game pricing. TUJ how it is right now is still better than WoWuction, imo.

I cant judge, I was a goblin before I started botting, and when i started botting, I tried to stick to 100% afk profiles, so I basically only needed to start the bot, and watch the gold grow - that kinda limits you to certain strategies, and in the end I toally lost the AH as focus for gold making.
Wowuction seemed to be more user friendly to me, but why do you think TUJ is better - im not trying to start a stupid arguementation here, maybe I just have missed certain functions, also of course it depends on what you are looking for and whether you play your char or bot.

I like that it shows player look up. If you look up someone on your realm, you can see a heatmap of their auctions, and you can see exactly what auctions they have up at the time. I don't usually use the sites for pricing because it's not always 100% accurate especially on items that are sold in bulk. The prices fluctuate so much that you are just better off testing it in game.

The one thing I do like about WoWuction though, is that it shows the demand. It's still never 100% accurate, but it's still helpful :)

The addon doesn't no. But you can still view very detailed poster information via the desktop app and the TSM website. See "https://www.tradeskillmaster.com/sellers" once you are signed up.

I try to stay out of the "Top 10 Sellers" on my realm to avoid drawing too much attention.
