[WatchDog] - A Multi-Purpose chat monitoring plugin with SMS capability

Description:
I decided to combine the functionality of a few plugins written by others into one general purpose plugin. This plugin uses code from Espilon's EspWhipAlert & EspChatLog in addition to the general concept behind King's KingReply plugin but without a precompiled binary for your safety.

Features:
- Optional log of Battleground / Channel / Guild / Say / Whisper chat to text file in your /Logs folder
- Optional playing of sounds for the above chat types
- Optional sending of SMS text messages for the above chat types
- SMS send / receive whisper support only at the moment
- More features in development!

Limitations:
- SMS whisper replies to the last sent tell only. This can be a problem if you receive multiple tells in rapid succession. This will not be fixed until HB supports unicode.

Installation:
Copy the contents of the zip file into your plugins folder. Copy the whole folder WatchDog, not just its contents.
Once copied, load HB up and go to your plugins tab. Click on WatchDog and then click on the Settings button. Be sure to fill out the information carefully and watch the Log tab of HB for proper initialization.

Important:
You will want to create a fresh gmail account for this plugin as it will relay any new emails, sent to the gmail account, to the last person that whispers you.

Very nice!! only issue is it will not whisper the person back. HB says processing new email but it never actually whispers the last person or anyone.

It will detect the whisper and dispatch fine
It will detect my reply via email and in the BG log say processing
It will not send my reply to the last whisper

I messed with the settings and only checked the whisper row just incase the other options where causing a problem. Still no go. None the less this plugin works very well so far not crashes or errors, cant wait till the replies are fixed. Thanks for making this.

I just checked and it sends out the SMS via email and correctly relays any text replies I send, so I'm not seeing any problem with it at the moment. Play around some more with it and let me know what you find out.
 
It looks like you are writing the chat logs to a file then using that file to respond back to the last person that whispered you. It seems that I have an addon that might be taking that over and writing its own logs or I don't have chat logging on. Where is the chat log located so I can verify that the game is writing one properly

The chat logs are seperate from SMS. It does not use them for the replies. It replies to the last person that sent you a whisper. Kind of like pressing r in-game. The logs are in your /Logs folder.
 
Disabled all addons still no go for me. Only thing I can see is I get this in the debug log of HB

[1:12:00 PM:69] Plugin WatchDog threw an exception in 'Pulse'! Exception:
 
I hope this gets updated to work with the new HB 2 release. It's a great add on!
 
Wish this, or any other addon, would support Jabber. Not everyone (especially us in Europe) have mail2sms (and sms2mail) stuff on our carriers.
 
how it works with the sms message ? did i need a mailadresse for sms messages ? idu the example : /
 
I am having a problem with it responding when I send the message back. It receives the message and it pops up in the log, however there is no whisper done.

Also for verizon customers if you are not getting the alerts from vtext change the email to yournumber@vzwpix.com

who is your cellular provider? I'm on AT&T and this works fine.
 
Yeah AT&T. Must be a problem on my end with my phone
 
What are you guys saying for [email protected] if you have AT&T? what is the provider, cause i tried at&t and it didn't work, says the number doesn't exist. I double checked my phone number too but it should work fine. It sends to my gmail just fine.
