MoP is the first expac that I have botted on and I was wondering how long it usually takes for the bot to get back up and going after an expac. Also, how is the banrate immediately following the release. I am just curious and appreciate the devs and their hard work.

The time it takes to update all the offsets + researching if there's any new "tripmines" for the HB dev team, depends on Blizzard.

I would safely assume that many things are going to change / in process of changing during beta.

So I would assume at least 1-4 weeks after WoD (6.0 patch) releases, depending on various of things IMO.

There shouldn't be much (if any) downtime when WoD hits. The main downtime will be when 6.0 is released, which is before WoD.

There normally isn't a patch at release, just content getting unlocked at midnight.

You should expect a month of downtime, and then after that various issues with plug-ins and routines being outdated and slowly updated since many of those can't be fixed until there is a working release. People were flipping out after MoP released for a while, so be ready.

Ergh, this will be my first expansion botting too, i'm dreading it as it's my only source of income and downtime = no income for me... I guess I need to start saving money to fall back on when it happens. :|

Or get a real job... :(

when the new xpack comes out hb team is always fast there the profiles wil take abit longer if they not in the beta yet but we could use the bot already for rotation then i think.

History has shown 2-3 weeks downtime with the expansion. It's going to suck this time around as PQR is now dead, too. Hopefully a good rotation bot will come around that can be updated immediately.

That's my main concern as well. I suck at WoW, so the CR's play it for me. I need to come up with an excuse as to why I won't be playing for a few weeks when WoD comes out. . . that or actually learn to play. . . . nahhh.

it isnt hard you just make a 1 rotation with razer naga and then press 1button to do the full rotation and put the cooldowns on another button or make a combat macro so it wil use the cooldowns in combat only

If only it were that easy. . . nothing quite like TuanHA's CRs.

it is that easy with the razer naga you can make keypress that you added on wow to the software and then play once as the macro and keep pressing button 1 and it wil do all key presses you added. for dpsing tanking its good but not for healing i own all tuanha cc to and i love to heal but if there is one time i need to play self it wil be dps and tanking for the 1 button hit on razer naga you need to set up cooldowns difference with combat macro so it doesend use those but only in combat.

Fortunately they still allow you to actually play the game. If their is any time that you should even "refuse" to bot it is when an xpac launches.

Perhaps it's just me, but I like to actually be good at the games I play and with new abilities and rotations among a ton of other things, your doing no one a favor by botting off the rip.

Of course I assume your one of the guys who skips raids if the bot is down. If that's the case this will fall on deaf ears anyhow.

Apart from the RMT guys who destroy the genre for personal gain, the only other botters are guys like me. Who after leveling dozens of toons by hand, or farming my 10,000,000th lotus for flasks, I concede.

If that's the case the bot won't help at for a bit anyhow as others have said. You won't have meshes or profiles or anything of that nature for the new content.

Then again, blizzard now sanctions power leveling via their own company so who am I to try to stay morally correct lol.

And to think I still click :p lol

What do you expect? People get used to what they have and don't wanna miss it. That doesn't mean i do not think the same. Technically i think you should be able to play yourself. I mean basic rotation of most classes aren't really hard, are they.
