What a crock of shit, either don't give it to alliance or give it to them for free.
 
Is it official that the Horde chopper is free? Just heard about it...

I guess yes, there could be an equal mount to the tundra mammoth and the yak
 
read it somewhere on the official blizz site, that there was or there is a period of time whre you have to log in and your account will be registered to recieve the chopper for free on horde side.
 
As a reminder, once the winning Horde Chopper is added to the game, it will be available for free to players who log in between now and September 30, 2014.

No, i play Alliance, but the competition was to see who got the mount and the horde won, so it's stupid for alliance to also get theirs, what was the point of the vote.
 
i guess current players gain a free mount on horde side? i dont think too much about blizzard strategy, ends up in confusion :P
 
What I heard that there will be a gnome tank with a tremendous firepower that will allow shooting down horde buildings, e.g. in Orgrimmar.
 
Fact is there are more alliance than horde...and I know quite a few strictly alliance players who wanted a chopper but voted for the horde one because they thought it looked better. This wasn't a piss on the other faction contest and nothing prevents an alliance gamer from creating a horde char just to get the mount.

I don't really care if there's a goldsink added personally...people who've got the funds and want it are going to get it and still have the funds to buy my stuff...and those without it will still buy my stuff because they can't afford to spend 24/7 farming to get it, so either way it works in my favor.
 
The contest was originally to see who got the mount, yes. But in all honesty, when you hire someone like OCC (Orange County Choppers) to design two bikes for you, why would you NOT include both in the game? I guess Blizzard just figures they can throw in the losing faction's bike (the Alliance) as a gold sink for the losing faction (the Alliance). The Horde gets their mount for free as long as they log into their account before September 30th. If they do not, they will not get the mount for free. They will have to purchase their mount as well. So, for you Horde players that haven't done so yet, I suggest logging into your account before September 30th, otherwise you will miss out on getting your free chopper. Since I'm strictly Alliance, I will be creating a Horde character just so I can get a free mount.
 
We need some massive gold sinks to remove gold from the economy.
