Warlock pets and low level mobs

Hi, not sure where to put this, thought this would be the best place.

I've been raising my shatari rep on my warlock and came back to notice that the CC I'm using (Singular and agonizing affliction) tell the pets to attack first. This usually results in the pet killing the mob and me not getting credit for the kill.

Can anyone thing of a way to get around this? I don't know much about editing the CC files or anything.

from what i remember you can disable the pet on CC settings
