[PAID] [Warlock] Demonic - An Advanced Honorbuddy Warlock Routine [PvE/PvP]

I don't bot / play my lock anymore but one question : what spec is being used for raiding now? I saw a demo lock in hfc with nice dps and wondered
 
Any specific settings for proving grounds? Because my character wont move even if I have the Enable Movement checked in the General>Mobility tab.

It won't do auto movement in proving grounds. You need to control that and let the routine do the rotation (using Enyo). Does require some manual control with hotkeys to pause/disable aoe etc.

Destro / Aff. Demo got nerfed because it's "too complex for most players". So instead of fixing the rotation they just nerfed it. Suits me because I hate demo :)

- [Destruction] Minor tuning to Chaos Bolt on backdraft charges for 6.2.
- [Destruction] Minor changes to Conflagrate's conditions.
- [Destruction] Minor tuning to Shadowburn when Charred Remains talented.
- Added Socrethar's immunity aura (Fel Barrier) to don't attack list.
- [Affliction] Improvements to prevent dots dropping when multi-dotting.

This should be a pretty big increase in DPS for destruction. The rotation feels like everything is being managed just right.

I am not sure if this was approved yet, however, I am just pooling up 4 embers and then he just sits on them. I will test further before posting a log...I am currently in Tanaan doing dailies.


EDIT:: Here is the log....it feels like at times it's an up in dps other times it is lower....Bosses seems ok for the most part, still at times I am capping at 4 embers even though I have played with the ember bar. Trash and quests it defs caps out and does not cast CB

Been lurking these forums for awhile on various accounts. Was wondering if any locks here would share some (r)bg settings for pvp. Mine are decent, but I'd to make a comparison for further optimization. Might even tip, pm me.

You have updated version. There is another thing that needs to change and I have informed Millz about it, it will be up in next release that will prevent/deal with ember capping. We have separated conflagrates in rotation in order to not cap embers but we left out part where it casts available spells on moving in order to do some damage thus ignoring normal conflag rules and it ends up in ember capping. Working on tuning atm.

Keep up the reports and logs comming. We would also like to hear/see DPS on bosses, warcraftlog percentages that you make for your ilevel etc. The more you give us the more we can do to improve it.

I have tested the update yesterday in Hellfire HC and it was performing very well.
However on some fights there was few times a big fps decrease (from 90 to about 5 fps) and the routine was stopping. After a few seconds (about 15-20), fps went back to 90 and the routine continued...?
 
So I finally bought this CR and LOVE it! It's working great for me. just wondering if there are any settings I should use to up my AOE DPS for Affliction? So far I am just using it on the default settings because I don't understand what a lot of it does yet.

Is anyone using the auto target in their raiding atm? or just the combat routine itself and targeting yourself? And Nilrem are you releasing any profiles for afflic/Destro for 6.2 as you did with 6.1?

well there is nothing much to release for desto. Set chaos bolt to cast on 2.5-2.7 depending on how fast you generate embers. Havoc on 1 ember, Dark Soul on Chaos bolt procs, AoE on 5 targets, immolate on 3-4 targets whatever you prefeer. Minimum embers to cast Darksoul 1, enable cancel casting for Any Taget and set unit HP% to cancel for to about 15%, if there are 2-3 warlocks in raid set it to 19-20% since others will snip shadowburns also and you need to react faster. Minimum HP to cast chaos bolt can be set on 200,000. Turn off all RoF and disable sparkuggz style opener for now (it might be viable with 4pc t18 + archi trinket though).

Yeah, I do, because it targets new units faster than I can. It picks up and target and starts casting, then I switch to the target I want. Those split seconds add up over the course of a fight.

Out of curiosity, are the kormok hands added so it properly damages them?
Also feature request also for kormok, can we blacklist mind controlled units? Not sure again if this is done. I've seen other "services" attempt to blow up your raid when they flag as an enemy

The hands on the Kromog fight don't flag as a boss unit I believe. Just a normal elite.

Mind control -> It tries to detect mind controlled units by determining if they're in our party or not. I do have some blacklisted mind control auras though ("Touch of Y'Shaarj", "Empowered Touch of Y'Shaarj", "Bribe", "Reshape Life").

Thanks for the tips. It's working great. Only thing i cant get a solid answer for is what talents should i be using and what pets for Aff and Destro.
 


I would say if you are 690+ or have t17 it would be safe to go with charred remains paired with grimoire of sacrifice - Pet depends on what pet ability you want
for affliction I believe you want minimum 1000 haste unbuffed to justify soulburn:haunt and grimoire of surpemacy - otherwise you can use demonic servitude instead.

Most fights in HFC cater to destruction
