Thanks in advance.

Welcome Reaper!

You might want to check DB guides section, several threads there giving you all kind of info about how to properly start.

If you haven't manually played the game, I would advise you to, it will help you when botting, especially at the time you 'll have to value items and regarding player builds!

Hi pimpampum,

Thanks for your reply, i have been manually playing diablo on and off since release so i know the ins and outs of the game just not sure on how botting works. I'm not planning on botting on my main account, my friend got bored of the game and hasn't played in months so i bought his account off him.

I will have a read through the forum and post up again if and when help is required.

Thanks

That's what i thought. how many bots are people using on average, i'm doubting its just one. how does it work with regards to the items it picks up too? do they get put in the stash? what happens when the stash gets full?

There's a poll around you could take a look. Right now, profit is mostly done with BiS item finding.....that's happens once in a lifetime. Of course having a high number of bots will help that chance to increase, but it will also increase the investment in both d3 accounts, db accounts and hardware needed.

About the items....there are several ways to handle it, nowadays most efficient way is use really hard pickup rules which will select to stash only items worth, but they will be rare to say the least. Maybe 1 per day , and not at the beggining of botting , that will be when you have max magic find and a decent equipment. You should never find the issue of having the stash full doing this!

If you just want to do it for yourself (paragonlvl, "some" essences to craft, little chance on equip and good parts) then 1 or 2 bots i guess will be average yes. Most likely 1.

If you want to do profit with it.. from 10 to 150?^^
Just calculate investion and profit (1m ~ $0.02 - $0.025 (more on American Servers) for selling it to traders, correct me if this is wrong). You need hardware, electricity, licences for both (the game itself and the bot), eventually licences for ***-clients for really large amounts of bots aswell.

The bots are able to run on the same computer, the more cost-effitient it is due to energy costs.
