VMware

I'm not just starting it, I have my VM running 24/7 with AB running on it for most of those hours with no freezes or horrible FPS. What CPU do you own and if you CPU supports it, have you enabled Intel VT-x through your BIOS?
can you tell us your vm config please with the OS on it ?
also can you say me if your game is alt-tabed when its running ?
Yeah its a weird question but it seems to not freeze when the game is alt tabed on the vm for me.

My computer specs are:
i7 4790k
16 GBs DDR3 @1600Mhz
Host machine OS running on a samsung evo ssd
Guest machine OS running on a 7200 RPM harddrive.

Host OS is Windows 8.1 x64 Professional
Guest OS is Windows 7 x64 Home Edition
Guest OS has VMTools,DirectX installed. VT-x is enabled.
The VM has 4GBs of RAM, 120GBs of storage on the HDD and 1 processor with 2 cores allocated to it.
I am running VMWare Workstation 10.0.1 build-1379776.

Windows have been updated fully and I took the steps that Out posted on the first few pages.

The game only freezes when it's entering an entirely new zone for a couple of seconds while the graphics are loading. It does not freeze when it's alt tabbed or when I am tabbed into it. I should also mention that I am running the game client on the lowest possible settings, windowed.

Spent the better part of the day trying to get it to work in Workstation 10.0.2.

The steps here are correct.

You need tools first, then copy the files you need, then vmx edits because after that Tools will be "disabled". I removed any devices I didn't need. You can fix it if you go out of order.

Yet for some reason it was still crashing.

I uninstalled workstation 10 and ran the VM in Player (the free version off VMWare's site). It is now working reasonably well, 60 fps both games (VM on lowest settings possible). Still some hiccups and crashing, but not complete VM freezing. Sometimes the simpler product just wins.

Very CPU intensive, use exactly 2 cores for the VM, and you better have a quad core cpu. I gave it 4GB RAM. Strongly recommend closing Glyph after Archeage is open because that program can eat half the CPU on the machine (seriously, wtf lol). You need all the CPU you can get to remain stable. I'm on a i5-2500k clocked at 4.2Ghz, (42x100Mhz, 1.38Vcore) it's been stable for a few years.

Mouse is still fucked up but I'll take it.

I'm also running it for an extended perior, just it's always minimized and with a macro that pushes letter O every 2 mins

I5 3470 ( 4 cores ) 16 gigs ram, 4 dedicated to vm and 1 core dedicated to vm

Thanks to the VMWare Config/Regedit tips in that thread I got the game running but I have one major issue: after around 10-20 minutes, the entire VM freezes, no matter what I'm doing.

Got an i5-3570k/GTX 660, tried with 2 or 3 cores for the VM. Gave it 6GB RAM out of 16. Game is running at 1024*768 min details and is very smooth until the freeze happens out of nowhere.

Any tips on how to solve that?

Same issue here runs great then out of no where locks up the entire VMware. I have to hit Stop Guest to close it out because it locks all of VMware.

My specs are a little different

i5 4th gen, 2-4 gb on the vmware doesn't matter if I run 2 or 4 it still locks up so its not a memory issue.
80 gb for the hard drive space
gtx 770 graphics
1078x768 resolution also

VT-x is on automatic and turned on in my bios so honestly I have no idea what is going on.

at first game keep freezing it took me 3 hours to figure it out and now game works fine without getting freeze

someone got account banned for using vmware? its a diferent hwid/mac from the real pc?

so I did all the changes in Out's post but I still can't get it to work.

Anyone know if I'm missing something in the registry?

Yeah you must change driverdesc value to "Generic Driver"
I tryed vmware player and im still freezing.
Something i noticed is that more the graphics setting are high, faster it freezes.
Also i'm not freezing when its alt tabed.
I believe its something related to the textures loading.

trion allows multiboxing, but if you want to use a bot on vm its better to use a proxy ;)

What is Trion's stance on multi-boxing in ArcheAge?
Having multiple accounts logged in from a single IP address or registered user is allowed.
However, each account must be able to act independently of one another and be controlled without the use of any 3rd party software

It looks like a CPU/GPU usage issue for sure.

Did a test running the bot with the cam upside down above character to have pretty much nothing to render on screen and it has been running nicely without any freeze so far.

So the "Generic Driver" value field in the regedit fixed it.

Now I can't seem to get past the green splash screen.

It gives me an error and it points that I have a fault module name of "CryRenderD3D9.dll", which I assume means im missing that dll.

I checked online and updated direct x, as well as the c++ redistributables but I'm still having the issues. Anyone know the solution?

I have now a new problem.

When i start archeage it loading fine but when it go to the word Blessing in the load screen it closed and doesnt say nothing.

Do u know some solution?
