iam shut it down but stilll cant edit it, where is the location of .vmx file and whats the name? i can find that file the one i find i cant edit it .. iam a noob in computer programming so need some help and if u can send the picture of it ill be thankful thx.. :(

Hmm, for me it also works with:
isolation.tools.getPtrLocation.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.setPtrLocation.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.setVersion.disable = "true"
isolation.tools.getVersion.disable = "true"
monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"

What are this settings for?

If you want to run AA on VMWARE, you need:
1) disable VM.
2) edit VM .vmx file:

3) enable VM. Open regedit. After this you need to find ALL strings "VMware SVGA 3D" (use ctrl-F), except "@oem9.inf;%svga%;VMware SVGA 3D". and delete values (dont delete keys, only values).
4) Restart VM

Did all of this on fresh VM, still won't start :/
 
finaly no more hackshield spamming ie but i have another problem now it was stop at the middle of green loading and cant proceed more :(

any resolve for this problem will be appreciated ..

Check that directX installed on VM (download latest version )

Check if your AA Log says Vram = 0MB or if it cant find Driver, if so you deleted / changed something wrong in the reg.

Reinstall is recommended then.

1. Shut down your VM
2. Edit your .vmx with notepad and copy/paste the changes at the bottom
3. Save the changes
4. Start your VM
5. Edit the registry like he said
6. You're good to go

I followed his steps and it still didn't work :/ What version of windows do you use? And it is x86 or x64?
 
It seems to be also somewhat HW related. On my Laptop it works, on my Gaming PC it does not work. I do always get a disconnection from the gods ...
 
I've managed to get Archeage to run on my vmware, but after using the client with or without a plugin running for 5-10 minutes the whole thing appears to freeze. I've left it running after the freeze with the quest plugin on and when i restarted vmware I'd gained experience since it froze, so it appears it is still running even while frozen. Does anyone else get similar behaviour?

yay after couple days of trying now iam good to go its working guys like a magic lol THX ...
just follow that step and u will se .. :D

mine to freeze after 2-3 minute log in to the game ... its so frustating one problem done another problem appear :(
tell me if u can solve this last problem buddy THX ... :)
 
Maybe we can also check which VMware version is used. I do use VMware Workstation 9.0.3 and do see freezes.
Who does run this continuously successful and which version do you use?
 
cannot get this to work i have done everything posted at least 5 times (reinstalled vmware 5 times and done process) and it still sends me to the hackshield website
